Great way to see the country
This is a great way to see a lot of the beautiful country of Montenegro. Our guide Anastasia and our driver Nicola were great. I wished we had more time at the lake and some of the stops like the “breakfast” stop and the last coffee stop seemed unnecessary. I also wished that our guide had talked a little more about some of the history of Montenegro, particularly about the time of communism/Yugoslavia.

This is very long trip...
This is very long trip with lot of driving. You seat in the car for a long time than actually explore the sites. Black lake is splendid natural beauty. Ostrog monastery is to do on the list. We are disappointed with Tara bridge, river & Canyon. Bridge was under construction and no safety railings, unable to get good photo. River and Canyon has not much water during our visit in May. Transport vehicle is not suitable for 4 adults travellers as it has no leg space and feel cramped and congested at the back.

Fantastic day out
I have always wanted to go white water rafting ..... its an early start but boy was it worth it. Our driver took us through some amazing beautiful scenery. We had all the safety equipment and a lovely guide Boris to take us down the river, stunning stunning stunning. This day out will go down as one of the best days ever and can now tick off my bucket list. Thank you for such great memories Our guide Nina was also lovely and helped me out when I felt a little travel sick, thank you x

Amazing views
Great rafting experience. The views are stunning. Guiding on the raft itself was okay. The guide who took us was great.

Tara River Canyon

Dotted with waterfalls and skirted by limestone cliffs, pebble beaches, caves, and boulders dumped by the force of the waters, the Tara River Canyon and its forested mountains are the perfect playground for outdoorsy types and thrill-seekers. Raft the Tara’s rapids, rappel down falls and cliffs, or fly above the canyon in a helicopter.

Numerous guided excursions take travelers to the canyon from cities such as Kotor, Budva, and Dubrovnik. Those wanting to make the most of the Tara’s natural wonders may prefer multi-day itineraries combining activities like rafting, canyoneering, hiking, and 4WD safaris into single, hassle-free tours. Or, opt for a rafting trip tacked on to a visit to Montenegro’s Adriatic coast, Moraca river canyon, or Piva lake and canyon.
