Excellent day out
Brilliant from start to finish. Pick was well manage by guide called Terry I think. Hillary's certainly know what they are doing in terms of the ferry transfer felt very well looked after. the island itself was much bigger thank I realized I should have hired a bike! As it was we took the train and walked for miles. Shops on site were offering great food and gluten free products as we eat gluten free. Georgina in the museum gave us great advice on where to see the Quokka's.

Quoka heaven
Get to the island to make the most of what's on offer, and maybe stay overnight. The quokas are pretty common I. The settlement

Great fun, be aware of motion sickness.
Enjoyable day, staff were friendly and helpful and Gerry was clean and comfortable. The island was great. Just one thing to bare in mind is if you are sensitive to motion sickness get ready, the ride to the island was probably one of the worse when it comes to rocking and I got motion sickness for the first time, so make sure to take some anti motion sickness medication to help. Otherwise definitely recommend, thanks

So gorgeous!
Wow, what an experience Rottnest Island is!! We were so happy we organised to go across on the train to see the WW2 tunnels and our volunteer guide (Mike) was awesome!
We got back to the main area around 1pm and had some lunch then walked around as much as we wanted to before heading back to the boat at 4pm.
Highly recommend visiting the museum as it was incredibly informative about the dark past of the island (it is not all about Quokkas apparently!) and we learnt so much.
Rottnest is a definite MUST DO but I think the island may benefit from restricting the amount of visitors per day as the way the Quokka's climb all over people and are disturbed in the main area is really sad.

Great trip!
The ferry was a great way to get to Rottnest. It was very quick and ran smoothly, and the ferry itself was very clean and spacious.

Island in the rain with quoka’s
We had a pre-booked boat and bus tour with Hillarys. It was a rather poor weather day - rainy, windy and a bit cool. The crossing was quite turbulent with many people needing to use sick bags. But when we arrived on the island it was idillic. The quokas were cute, the seagulls and crows less so. We had a lovely bus ride around the island with Rennie our driver who was informative, helpful, funny and engaging. We enjoyed a lovely fish lunch during the day, a visit to the museum to learn the various histories of the island including its tragic use as a prison for the indigenous population of WA. The boat trip back was not so bad. In all, a great experience, lots of fun, educational but moving to understand the history of the island.

Memorable
It was a day spent with my brother for his 66th birthday. The weather was fine, sailing was smooth. The boat was well maintained, clean, staff were very happy and friendly. There were many things to do and see while on the island. A very memorable day for both of us. Thankyou all

Rottnest Island day trip including train and tunnel.
Study the map before arriving to the island. Got lost trying to find where the train was from the jetty. Get the train and do the tunnel tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and train driver very funny. Great experience with the quokkas around you while having lunch. Ferry ride was great.
