Fun, well organized and well paced tour of Ubud’s major sites

This was a great, well balanced and paced tour taking in the highlights of the Ubud region in Bali. The half day tour included four diversified locations, starting with the Monkey Forest right at feeding time, followed by the majestic rice terraces. We then continued to a local and serene Ubud temple finishing with a visit to a coffee plantation complete with free tastings of 14 varieties of coffee and tea. We then stopped for lunch at an atmospheric restaurant overlooking rice fields. The tour company, Bali Local Host, was very easy to communicate with and my assigned tour guide, Esa, was excellent. He is youthful and cheerful, always with a smile, and very knowledgeable about Bali and all the locations we visited. He speaks excellent English and is fun and easy to talk to. I would love to have Esa as my guide on any future tour. The tour began at 8am from my hotel in Seminyak and I was dropped off at about 2.30pm, leaving the afternoon free to relax and explore. This was the perfect schedule for my plans. I highly recommend booking this tour if you plan on visiting Bali and would like a cultural experience.

A must do, a really early start (but worth it) a very full on, exciting day, our driver Darma was amazing, on time, managed the early morning down pour and traffic so well, he was helpful, good English, great local knowledge and sense of humour, nothing was to much trouble, he took heaps of photos and videos. Our driver, Awan, was prompt, picking us up at 2:30 AM and getting us safely to our destination. He also quickly took us to all other stops - and patiently dealt with a lot of (unplanned) marathon traffic! Our guide, Tari, was amazing and showed us up the mountain. When the clouds at the top made it seem as if we would miss the sunrise, she took us quickly down below the clouds and we were able to get good views. She took a lot of good photos and videos, and was very knowledgeable about the area. The area is beautiful and a must do.

It was amazing tour. Our guide, Ketut War, was friendly and knowledgeable. We saw a coffee plantation, waterfall, had a delicious lunch, just my wife and I. The waterfall has lots of steps to climb down, but it's not necessary, we still had a great view from the top. Keratin even fit in a trip to the Bird Park when he learned I was a birder (extra fee for entry, but that made sense since we added it on).

Vitho was very communicative and right on time to take us all the way up to UBUD and the surrounding areas. He was very patient with the encountered traffic and took care of us in acquiring our entrance tickets, etc. He was especially knowledgable about the Hindu Temple that we visited - a highlight of the tour. A Viator suggestion is to update this event - as the D'Alas Warung restaurant is no longer featured in this tour --- it was one of the reasons we selected it. We did not mind paying to visit this restaurant, but other guests may feel differently. We felt badly for Vitho being caught in the middle of this error. But he handled it very professionally.

Kadek Dee was our driver for a 10 hour day - travelling through to Ubud, rice fields, waterfall, silversmiths, batik factory, a temple, coffee and tea tasting: so a very full day indeed. By the end of the trip we understood a great deal more of the Balinese culture and family life. We thoroughly enjoyed our day but we also very much the company of Kadek Lee. We would thoroughly recommend this trip and more importantly Kadek Dee. He has a lovely sense of humour, excellent English and can take part in any conversation with his excellent knowledge of Bali.

Great experience, well worth it

Snorkel guide very friendly and accommodating and the waterfalls was nice. But the best part of the experience was our driver Adi, from the moment he picked us up we were laughing and joking all day, such a beautiful person. I would highly recommend this tour if you are after a quick day trip to Uluwatu, it includes a stopover at Padang Padang beach, before going to Uluwatu temple for Kecak performance at sunset.
