Top Manaus Kayaking Tours

The Urubu River is a tributary of the great Amazon River, and lies to the east of Manaus. It is almost 500 km/310 miles long, and is the narrowest river we travel on – it is the perfect width to experience the real rainforest at your fingertips. Few people live on this exciting river and you will enjoy peaceful days without seeing or hearing much of humanity at all. The predominantly gentle current will aid you in your journey downstream, although you may also have the chance to shoot some safe but exciting rapids. Kayaking is the perfect way to experience this beautiful, mystical river before mass tourism discovers it!

Watch the sunset over the beautiful Ipanema Lake and observe pink and gray river dolphins in their natural habitat. Experience the famous Meeting of the Waters phenomenon, where the Rio Negro and Amazon Rivers flow side by side without mixing for several kilometers. As night falls, embark on a nocturnal expedition to spot alligators in the Amazon wilderness. Complete your adventure with an overnight stay in a comfortable jungle lodge equipped with air conditioning, surrounded by the beauty and sounds of the rainforest.
