Exceptional

We had a great time riding in the jaunting car. Our driver was so nice and even volunteered to take a few pictures of us with our camera. He was also very knowledgeable about Ireland and answered all our questions. We stopped and could get out and look around as well and it didn’t feel rushed. It was so beautiful and the route was perfect. We’d definitely do this again if we were there.

Scenic wonder!

Really a fantastic tour. But be aware it’s a small boat also the trek back from the end of the boat ride is 7 mile trip. You can have the option of a walk of 7 miles that is up and down Hill areas and you’re only given about three hours to make that walk or you can opt for a horse and buggy ride, which is really fun. however it has to be paid in cash and they don’t tell you the price when you book . It’s thirty-five euros a person. it’s worth it believe me. All in all it was just a wonderful scenic experience that was fabulous.

Today’s tour through Beautiful Killarney National Park was so much fun! 🤩 My horse was Ray, the boss of all of the other horses. Such a ham!🤣 We were behind Isla, from Sweden. Isla was a delight! Calvin and Nancy—Rain or shine a ride to remember

We had a fantastic jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park with Calvin and his lovely horse, Nancy. Despite the rainy weather, we came prepared—and thankfully, the jaunting car is covered and has warm blankets, so it was a comfortable experience. It’s what you’d expect in Ireland. Calvin, a Killarney local, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history and local insight throughout the ride. What made it even more special was knowing that Calvin is continuing a family tradition, just like the enduring presence of Ross Castle itself. This ride wasn’t just scenic—it felt like stepping into a living piece of Killarney’s heritage. Highly recommend this experience, rain or shine! We were not disappointed!!

Great horseback riding experience!

The Killarney National Park Horseback riding staff were very friendly and helpful. They provide helmets and boots for the ride. Careful consideration is given for the best horse for your horseback riding experience level. Our horses were well trained and comfortable for our morning, one hour ride through the breathtaking Killarney National Park. We rode past herds of deer which were quite unfazed by us. We mostly walked the horses but had a few opportunities to trot. We loved this activity and highly recommend it!
