Step into the untold story of the Highlands — a landscape shaped not only by mountains and clans, but by extraordinary women whose voices history tried to silence. This immersive talk uncovers the stories of Highland women who were dismissed as witches, erased from records, or overlooked despite the vital roles they played in their communities. Many were healers, knowledge keepers, craftswomen, mothers, and quiet leaders whose courage sustained families and villages through times of hardship and change. But this story does not end in the past. Today, a new generation of Highland women is rising — cultural protectors, creative activists, truth-tellers and modern rebels who are shaping Scotland’s future while honouring the legacy of those who came before. This intimate talk celebrates the women they feared then… and the women they’d fear now.
