Death Railway Bridge over River Kwai.
I think it's important for Australians to visit and know the history of the Death Railway Bridge over River Kwai.

Great way to see everything in one day.
This was a wonderful and sobering experience. We loved the private tour because we beat the crowds who took the train from Bangkok yet we were able to ride the train for an hour and the driver picked us up at the train stop. Because we drove, we had plenty of time to see everything. The JEATH museum, the cemetery, the bridge, train ride to one of the cuts, the hellfire pass museum and even the waterfall at the national park.

Death train history and water fall swim and view
Bella our tour guide was just brilliant. She sent us a msg the day before saying when she would pick us up etc. on time and perfect. The van was very comfortable clean, and loads of bottled cold water available. Bella explained the days agenda, and what a trip and experience. Bella covered the history of the places, and overall made the day.

Poignant Visit
This was a long day but so worth while. Lead by our guide Jill, who was attentive to our needs all day, from getting prime seats on the train, water, helping with photos but because of her knowledge and allowing us time for contemplation, which was much appreciated. The Australian Army were present at Hellfire Pass, rehearsing for their ANZAC day ceremony, which made the visit more special. The way the cemetery was laid out was beautiful. I would highly recommend this tour. Once again thanks to our guide Jill and driver Ray, for taking such good care of us.

Hells Fire Pass Tour a real eye opener
This tour was absolutely brilliant! We had a great tour guide “Nan” The tour was very surreal and eye opening into what the soldiers went through in how badly they were treated. Very informative trip. Would definitely recommend

An outstanding day including a visit to the Bridge over the River Kwai.
This was a very comprehensive tour, starting at 6:30am until 6:15pm. Which included the Jeath museum in kanchanaburi, walking across the Bridge over the River Kwai, the war cemetery, riding the train along the ‘death railway’, a buffet lunch, visiting the Hell Fire Pass and Interpretive Centre, and Namtoksaiyoknoi water falls.
The tour guide ‘Ken’ and driver ‘Sake’ were quite outstanding. They constantly went the extra mile, booking widows seats on the correct side of the train, providing a golf cart to take us down to the Hells Pass and ensuring we had a fantastic day.

Fantastic Experience
We had a fantastic experience with Ken, our guide, and Mr Yoon, our driver. The day began at the JEATH War Museum, followed by a visit to the River Khwae Bridge — we arrived at the perfect time, just before it became busy. We then spent some time at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, which was very moving, and it was comforting to see how well the graves are preserved.
Next, we took a train ride along the Death Railway for just over an hour, seated in excellent spots where we could get a good view of the wooden bridge. During the journey, Ken surprised us with a beautiful bookmark featuring our photo on the train — taken by the lovely female railway staff member who had also been handing out water and cake to passengers.
Lunch was served at a local restaurant with a wonderful view of the wooden bridge. Afterward, we visited the Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre and walked the Memorial Trail. It was incredible to see, though deeply sad, and left a lasting effect.
We finished off with a stop at Saiyoknoi Water Fall.
Overall, it was a full 12 hour day from start to finish, but I can’t think of a single part I would remove to make it shorter. A big thank you again to Ken, whose incredible knowledge of the history behind each stop made the experience even more meaningful and to Mr Yoon for his very comfortable vehicle.

Visiting sacred sites
This was a sacred site visit for us given we grew up knowing the story in the film but not the reality. Extremely moving.
Rudy, the guide was excellent - very knowledgeable and a great sense of humour. We had to jump out of the car in traffic at the end and didn’t get the chance the thank him as much as we would like to have done. Thanks to Rudy, and driver Jack, a great 11.5 hour day.

A great tour
It’s a very long day but really interesting. Our tour guide was very informative and we learned a great deal about the Burma/Thailand railway.
Our meal at the waterfalls was very enjoyable and swimming in the beautiful pools was lovely.
