An enjoyable Panda visit

I had a very enjoyable visit to the Panda Base. We saw dozens of very cute Giant Pandas and also some equally cute Red Pandas The park is very large and very busy. It's quite difficult to navigate, so it was very useful to have to guide who knew the best ways to go to avoid the worst crowds and see a range of animals. Thanks for the tour!

Such a fun activity. I arrived a day early in Chengdu before joining a tour and had booked this cooking class. It was great start to finish. Lance was a friendly, knowledgeable guide and made the experience even more fun. The tour of the market was interesting and we were able to taste some unique products. The cooking class was so much fun, easy and delicious. I would recommend this activity to anyone visiting Chengdu. It is a great introduction to Sichuan cooking.

My tour guide, Shi...

My tour guide, Shi Jianhua, was excellent and I would recommend him to family and friends. I arrived at the Panda Base early enough to see the pandas feeding in the morning. If you are wanting to see the the panda nursery make sure to budget plenty of time as the lines were VERY long and slow. At the Leshan Giant Buddha I chose to do the boat ride rather than hiking to the top. The boat ride is maybe 30 minutes and both sides of the boat should get unobstructed views of the Buddha so don’t worry about which side of the boat you’re on.

Buddha great, village average.

The buddha was amazing and definitely worth the trip. It is an astounding feet of engineering, and we got a great view of it on the boat. The village however, was something of a disappointment. While the architecture and buildings themselves are quite beautiful, the rest of the ambience is totally lost via a raft of cheap stores and unbelievably, even fast food stores. A special mention to our (Driver), Mr.Shui Jianhua — he was extremely friendly, courteous, helpful and contributed to us having a great day. If possible, make sure you ask for him, and communication was not a problem using the marvels of modern technology and Google translate.

The experience was...

The experience was brilliant, informative and hassle free. We were pickup from our hotel first thing by our tour guide, drove to the pandas and then guided around. Our tour guide knew exactly where to look for the pandas and helped us navigate the crowd. After this we went to a restaurant near the giant Buda, it was perfectly timed and the food was good. Between the pandas and restaurant our guide gave us advice on the area, history on the region and the Giant Buda. Then it was time for the boat tour for the giant Buda, Its very hard to describe how surreal it is seeing the Buda, its a must see. After this we were drove back to our hotel. The tour was perfect for us. And I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Fabulous experience!!!! Excellent communication beforehand. Everything was perfectly arranged for us. Doris our tour guide was amazing!!! Our early morning Panda visit meant that there was no crowd, we saw so many pandas & it was awesome. Anytime after 10am- they rest - so make sure to choose an early visit. Next we went to Leshan Buddha- it’s 2.5 hours drive. We got to rest in the bus. We then stopped at a lovely Chinese restaurant- the food is pre ordered & it was delicious. We chose the walking option to Leshan Buddha- be mindful - lot of steep steps - around 30 min each way- good walking shoes recommended - choose the boat option if you don’t feel like walking. All in all excellent tour. Will definitely recommend

This was a uniquely chinese experience at the Opera! Choice of dessert, massage or ear cleaning before the show. Offerings of bottomless tea and sunflower seeds throughout the show. A lovely mix of opera singing, musicians, puppetry, mesmerizing hand shadows and of course the face changing warriors. We had a very memorable time!

Great and fun experience

Fun experience and get to prepare foods for panda. Our guide Molly was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. She seems to enjoy being a guide and love pandas! After the tour, we get to keep our shirt, a certificate and other goodies. Both my friend and I were glad we signed up for this experience.

The tour to the Panda Base and the Giant Buddha with Ling was fantastic! First, Ling guided us through the Panda Base in Chengdu and gave us interesting insights into the pandas’ lives. She took us right to the spots where we could observe the animals up close. Afterwards, Ling tailored our lunch at a lovely local restaurant to our individual preferences. We then drove to the Giant Buddha. The driver was very experienced, so we were able to avoid long traffic jams. Ling’s explanations on site were comprehensive and very easy to understand. She repeatedly pointed out various photo opportunities and provided an interesting historical insight into the history of the historic site. Ling also told us a lot about her hometown of Chengdu and gave us valuable tips on sights throughout the country. Thank you, Ling, for your dedication and kindness. We would gladly give you and the driver a 10 out of 10 if that were possible and recommend the tour 100%.

A very informative trip to beautiful places.

Both Mount Qinsheng and the Dujiangyan irrigation system are beautiful places teeming with history of taoism and chinese engineering, respectively. I highly recommend everyone visits those spots when in Chengdu. My guide, Amber, was very helpful and friendly. Her informative explanations about the history and meaning of visited places were crucial for satisfying my interest. I would highly recommend this experience.
