Interesting history in quaint town

Great trip! Frank was a very good guide, answered all of our questions and there was plenty of free time for us to explore Chester, walk the wall, shop, and see the famous clock. Unlike the cruise ship excursions, there was plenty of time to wander about the adorable medieval town with Roman ruins and plenty of history. Short drive out of Liverpool, approx. 45 min.

Easy tour, informative tour guides...even assisting with directions to specific shops requested....Frank our tour guide was very congenial and it was a bonus that our driver Keith was a Chester local!

We incorrectly assumed a half day tour was 4 hours. We were surprised to find this was a 6 hour tour. Was good, but a little more time than we preferred to be in Chester. If you want lots of time in Chester, this is a good option. Tour guide gave us a good walking tour to start, then we had some independent time. Guide pointed us in the right direction upon return to the port for a few Beatles pics we wanted to snap. All was well.
