This was a great tour of pre Inca ruins. The tour guide was amazing and full of great information and history of the site.

Tour had both a guide and driver each with the name Jose. Both of them were very professional. The guide Jose provided a detailed education of the people and history. I learned so much. He always asked if I had any questions and he promptly gave answers. He took pictures of me when I wanted them. I highly recommend this tour.

Melanie was our guide and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the area and the history. I would recommend anyone take this tour.
David_Y, May 2026
Alberto kept us safe and Jose is a veteran guide. He looks young but knowledfe of a Liman. Dirt paths, a small museum shop and snacks, tourist prices.

Our guide Melanie was very knowledgeable. The whole experience was wonderful and convenient. She knew so much about this site and we were really able to appreciate the history.

Would highly recommend this tour. Patrick is a passionate storyteller who made the tour engaging and enjoyable. Our driver Roberto was so kind and helpful, opening the door and helping me in and out of the van. We had a great afternoon learning about Peruvian history and so glad we chose this tour.
Response from Host, Apr 2026

Excellent tour that covers pre-Inca history and artifacts. Our driver Alberto is as amazing navigating the traffic. Jose Gabriel was our knowledgeable guide. Wonderful tour just outside of Lima.
Response from Host, Apr 2026

Patrick, the guide, was unable to answer even basic question about the site. I would ask him a question, but he would avoid answering it.
Also, in between his talks, he was constantly on his cell phone that appear to be unrelated to work. Also, he was taking calls while we were going through the tour.
He said I had a number of good questions, and offered to send me some more information rather than learn of himself.
Other members of our group agreed that he was not well-trained knowledgeable in any of The subjects.
He kept blaming Unesco and not allowing any investigation of the site. But then contradicted himself on a number vacations. He uses his excuse not to answer any questions.
Please do not have Patrick. Do any more tours on this site. It is not fair to the people who go on the tours.

Fantastic tour with Patrick as our guide - only 45 minutes from downtown Lima. Got to see museum and also walk among the ruins.
Vicki_H, Mar 2026
Informative and interesting tour. Our guide (Melanie) was very knowledgeable and we loved her enthusiasm for the history of Pachacamac.
Maria_V, Mar 2026
Great tour! Both tour guides were phenomenal. They helped all of us, answered all our questions, and were accommodating. The driver was amazing. I recommend this company 100%. Thank you, Diana for all that you did for us.
Susie_R, Mar 2026
Our guide Melanie was incredible. Her knowledge, expertise and language skills were excellent. She patiently answered all of our questions. Although the museum was closed, she made our trip extremely enjoyable and comfortable. I would highly recommend her and this tour. Thank you, Melanie!
Duane_K, Mar 2026
We were extremely impressed with our tour guide Melanie. Not only was she knowledgeable about the tour, but the surroundings on our way to and from the center. She took her time and did not rush when helping with the elderly. I wish we could have walked closer to some of the ruins, but vandals over the years ruined this for everyone. We were disappointed that the museum was closed due to electrical problems that we were notified the day before. Good tour.

Learned so much from our tour guide Melanie
The rich history of the Pachacamac is worth the trip

Amazing tour guide! They explained everything so well, and it made the experience more impactful! They were on time for pickup and the whole thing was amazing!
Dhiraj_M, Feb 2026
Patrick was very knowledgeable and covered a lot of ground in given time. He answered all questions. I wish they had give some free time at the museum to explore on our own. But overall, great experience.

I paid to be picked up at our hotel, the comms was confusing, i dont know if this is viator or the company, i think viator. I contacted the company directly to confirm, and they were very responsive. Once we were in the vehiclMelanie was very chatty, making us feel welcome in the traffic (which if you come to Lima is absolutely terrible). We picked up the others on our trip and headed out of Lima, Melanie gave us a running commentary and where we were and what we could see out of the window as we passed.
At the museum, melanie was very knowledgeable and answered our questions, with additional information, helping us understand the history of pachacamac. At the site, the car took is distance between buildings and we went most of the way to the top (maybe 10m lower). All the time getting details of history, gods and stories handed down, from our guide.
Would i go again yes, as i think there is more to learn.
Value for money, excellent (in my opinion ).
Albert_L, Jan 2026
Both the driver and guide were excellent! The driver knew the best routes and our guide was very knowledgeable.

This site was interesting and I was glad that I went.
Tour guide was kind and nice person, helping taking great pictures, however, I didn't get much archaeological information from her.
Teresa_G, Dec 2025
Bring plenty of water. The views were awesome from the temple of the Sun. Fantastic experience. It was a fairly long ride there so be prepared for that.
Terry_L, Dec 2025
Very informative. Cool history. Ruins are spectacular. Artifacts were amazing. Guid and driver were very nice.
Janet_S, Nov 2025
A very interesting site to visit. There is a very good museum on site as well as a number of outside areas to visit.
Stephen_W, Nov 2025
Interesting tour which includes the museum and archaeological site. Less than an hour from Lima, so it’s a nice quick tour. Picked up at 9 and back to the hotel by 1. Roxanne was a pleasure. She explained the history and provided good commentary. One nice thing is that the driver took you to each area so there wasn’t too much walking. Do be prepared for a long uphill walk around the temple of the sun. Wear a hat bring water and sunscreen

This was an amazing experience that I highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Rich in culture, history, and arid beauty as advertised, but also unexpected moments of spiritual frisson when I felt deeply moved and intimately connected with the land, structures, and people past and present. The museum is gorgeous; a modern temple paying tribute with form and function and the perfect prelude before stepping into the ruins, which are just awesome. My guides Jose and Ronald were the absolute BEST! I learned so much from them about myriad topics from the call of the Black Rail to Syncretism to Lima beach policy to funny Spanish puns and much more I could go on and on about (which I did so annoyingly during the car rides. They were surely glad to be rid of me, but I greatly enjoyed our chats). Jose and Ronald’s presence and knowledge added a layer to the experience that was indelible and inspiring. I thank them very much for letting me know a bit of their country through their minds, see it through their eyes, and feel it through their clear passion.

We are truly moved to hear how deeply the experience resonated with you — not only culturally and historically, but also on a spiritual and emotional level. Pachacamac is indeed a place where the past and present connect, and it’s wonderful that you were able to feel that energy so profoundly.
We couldn’t be happier to know that the museum, the archaeological site, and the stunning desert landscape left such a strong impression on you. 🌄🏛️
A very special thank you for your kind words about Jose and Ronald! 🤝
