Great guide and great sightseeing
First time in Bandung and so glad Robbi was our guide. He took very good care of us, was always watching out for our safety, takes really good photos, answered all our queries and even went the extra mile making recommendations to us for places to visit/dine at in Bandung city. Robbi made our experience so much more pleasant and enjoyable!

Amazing Full Day Solo Tour
I had an amazing trip with Antoni! He picked me up at 730am and spent the whole day at the white crater and activities nearby. Topped up a bit to visit the swing, hotsprings and lake!
I think Antoni and Robbi are both really humble and sincere when hosting me! Really enjoyed this trip and highly recommended 👍

Southern Bandung is a must do if you’re visiting the area
Antoni was a great tour guide who really made the day what it was. Kawah Putih was definitely the highlight of the day, but the tea plantation came a close second. Southern Bandung is definitely worth the visit and is less touristy than northern Bandung which gives you more time to enjoy the sights and less time being hassled to buy merch.

Friendly and knowledgeable private tour!
Excellent trip with Mas Robbi to Kawah Putih and Ciwedey region. Flexible with arrangement, safe driver and good to visit places without having the hassle of planning the trip or drive oneself.
Highly recommended!

Great local experience in Bandung
We had a great day out with our guide Robbi. He sent us helpful WhatsApp communications before the tour, so we knew what to bring with us. He was punctual to collect us and knew some helpful shortcuts to avoid the traffic:) Robbie was friendly and interesting to talk to about all aspects of Indonesian life. We went to the White Crater and the hot springs, both of which we enjoyed a lot, and Robbi also took us to a great local coffee shop and a nice restaurant. He was a safe driver and was also kind enough to help me a useful local gadget for passing tool booths :)
Highly recommend this day out around Bandung.

A Fantastic Tour with Our Guide, Nigy
Our tour to Kawah Putih, Rengganis Crater and Patenggang Lake was an amazing experience, largely thanks to our guide, Nigy. She was an excellent driver and an even better guide.
Nigy was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. She made sure we felt comfortable and had a great time throughout the day. Her insights about the area were really interesting, and her driving was smooth and safe. The sights were incredible and it was great to have the flexibility to adjust the tour to our wishes.
But it was Nigy's warm and enthusiastic nature that truly made the trip special. She seems to really love her job.
I suppose she is the only Suzan &Freek fan on Java😁

Great family friend tour!
Once booked I received confirmation from Robbi by WhatsApp. He is friendly, replies quickly and happy to answer questions. A day before the tour I received Information about our tour guide and details of the car taking us. This was super helpful so I could look out the driver when they arrived at our hotel. I travelled with my two children, age 7 and 5. Our tour guide and driver was Nigy. She is awesome! She texted me before her arrival and very knowledgeable! She customised the tour to ensure we were at the volcano when it was dry! She is so lovely, great English speaker and super good with children. She made me feel comfortable and is all round amazing human! As it was a private tour I could let Nigy know when we wanted to go back (kids were tired!) and everything was on our own time schedule. This tour was well organised, fun and child friendly! I would book again with them!

The Best Part of a trip to Jakarta is visiting Bandung!
I absolutely loved this. Robbi is an amazing guide, he made sure I got everywhere I needed to go and provided a ton of information along the way. Beyond that, I'll be telling everyone to visit Bandung from now on. I hadn't even heard of it until I was already in Jakarta and looking for things to do. While there isn't a ton to do in Jakarta itself... there is so much in Bandung (just a quick bullet train ride away), and it's all really amazing! I loved the weather. I loved the activities. It was all so amazing, and was one of my favorite travel days I've taken part in (and there have been many!) Definitely book this tour if you're coming to Jakarta, it was my favorite part!

When to visit

A must for photographers, Kawah Putih is one of West Java’s most striking natural attractions.
The lake sits at around 7,972 feet (2,430 meters) above sea level and can get cool. Bring a jacket.
Vendors sell masks against sulfur fumes, which can become overpowering under certain conditions.
Kawah Putih is much more acid than either lemon juice or vinegar. Don’t even think about dipping in a toe to test the waters.
People Also Ask
Is Kawah Putih active?
No. Kawah Putih is stable. Even though it's a volcanic lake, there hasn't been any record of significant activity since the 17th century. As the name suggests, Kawah Putih (or White Crater) contains surreal turquoise-colored water that's almost a pale white color. The water is too acidic for swimming.
Is Kawah Putih worth visiting?
Yes. Since Kawah Putih first opened to visitors in 1987, it’s become a favorite destination for tourists and day-trippers from Bandung, in part because of its eerie atmosphere and the tree-lined cliffs that make a dramatic backdrop. But the strong smell of sulfur prevents visitors from staying too long.
What is the meaning of Kawah Putih?
Kawah Putih means white crater in English. The crater lake, located south of Bandung in West Java in Indonesia, is filled with pale bluish-green colored water that verges on milky white. Travelers come to see the unique, eerie lake and its surroundings, which are also white due to acid contact.
How do you get from Bandung to Kawah Putih?
Located about 36 miles (58 kilometers) south of Bandung, Kawah Putih is tricky to reach via public transport, requiring no fewer than four separate minibusses from Bandung. A tour from Bandung is the best way to visit, as it allows you to avoid navigating the congested streets on your own.
What is the best time of year to visit Kawah Putih?
The dry season of May–November is the best time to visit—if it rains, you might not be allowed to visit the crater. Visit first thing in the morning (around 6am) for fewer people. Expect crowds on the weekends and holidays. June and July are busy months due to school vacations.
Can you go to Kawah Putih on your own?
Yes. From Bandung to Kawah Putih, it's usually a 2-hour drive along mountain roads that are often congested. That’s why most travelers prefer to book a guided group or private tour with roundtrip transportation to visit Kawah Putih. Most guided tour prices include the entrance fee to the crater.
