This trip was long but absolutely brilliant. We had a long transfer from Durban to Underberg where we transferred into a 4x4 to take us up to the pass. It was a long drive on a stone/ gravel road. We had an excellent guide who told us loads of information. Provided photo stops and even served us tea/coffee, homemade muffins and biscuits. We then explored the area around the pub. A visit to the highest point of Lesotho, a visit to a local family home and an excellent meal at the highest pub in South Africa. This tour is a must.

A brilliant insight into a part of British history. Our tour guide had knowledge and background details that were fascinating about both of these famous and infamous battles. Amazing stories of heroism and giving an insight into Colonial mentality and also the Zulu world. I would encourage anyone interested in history to take this tour.
