Do yourself a lifetime favor and experience this show

This was fantastic. Highly recommend and spring for VIP seats with cushions. We also had private car and driver from hotel to venue and dinner at adjacent restaurant with sunset view right over the temple. Performance riveting. We are pretty demanding when it comes to ballet and honestly I have never seen anything like this. If you come to Yogyakarta must do! Viator did a great job coordinating.

Excellent tour of Prambanan temple and Ramayana Ballet

Faraj was our driver/guide, he took us to the show and brought us back to the hotel. He also provided us the tickets to the show. The dinner included was delicious with numerous vegetarian options. Ramayana ballet was a wonderful show, we thoroughly enjoyed the show.

I had a great experience...

I had a great experience with Utama as my driver/guide. The ride was very smooth, and Utama was very informative about the city and the temple. Sadly, the ballet was moved indoors due to the rain, but the onscreen subtitles explaining the scenes were helpful to a first-time viewer.

An unforgettable day with an exceptional guide!

What an absolutely phenomenal day from start to finish! Our private guide, Bima, simply could not have been better. Friendly, professional and incredibly knowledgeable, he brought the history of Yogyakarta and Indonesia to life throughout the journey and was fantastic while guiding us around both Borobudur and Prambanan temples. Bima’s hospitality was exceptional, with great advice throughout the day and even a stop at a luwak coffee plantation, which was a fascinating once-in-a-lifetime experience. Nothing ever felt rushed and the whole tour felt completely personal. We finished the evening with the Ramayana Ballet at Prambanan before Bima dropped us safely back at our hotel after a very long day. A truly memorable experience and one of the highlights of our time in Indonesia. If you can request Bima as your guide, do it – he was outstanding!

Delightful afternoon and evening

Our driver communicated well before the tour, was a very safe driver, and gave clear instructions when he wasn’t with us. Another guide took us thru Prambanan, then handed us back to Pras. Our buffet dinner was well-presented and tasty. Pras walked us to the theatre for the ballet and was just outside, easy to locate, when the ballet was over. A very enjoyable evening.

Wonderful Performance

Wonderful experience! We had a very informed driver which made the ride quite interesting. The costumes and performance were beautiful. Four stars instead of 5 because the dinner buffet was pretty bland and at the performance people were entering until 10 minutes into the show, which was noisy and distracting.

Superb day out visiting the temples

Great day out with Bima our guide. He was very knowledgeable and paced the day well. The temples are amazing but unfortunately we didn’t get to see the ballet as it was raining. Bima tried very hard to get us indoor tickets but there was limited capacity. Couldn’t fault Bima as he was exceptionally accommodating and went out of his way to help.

Magnificent and informative tour!

We had a great afternoon and evening with Borobudur Sunrise! A tour of the Prambanan temple complex as the sun went down with a very knowledgeable guide. This was followed by a lovely dinner with view on the Prambanan, followed by the magnificent Ramayana ballet outdoor with the Prambanan temples as background decor. Everything was perfectly organised and went smoothly with nice thoughtful details such as drink vouchers, really good seating at the Ramayana ballet. Mr Hanif, the Borobudur Sunrise owner accompanied us through this all with much enthusiasm and information. Thank you!
