Covers a lot of different sites in the valley, the sunset is beautiful but you don't get much time at each place and it is pretty busy with other tours. The tour is useful if you don't have a car and want some more info from the guides.

Unforgettable introduction to the Atacama Desert
An unforgettable introduction to the Atacama Desert. Our half-day tour to Valle de la Luna felt incredibly thorough and thoughtfully curated, allowing us to experience far more than we expected in just a few hours. The desert landscape is truly otherworldly. What made the tour particularly special was that it wasn’t just scenic viewpoints - we also set out on a beautiful hike, exploring different formations up close and learning fascinating geological insights along the way. Our guide was a very knowledgeable and warm woman who kindly took individual photographs of everyone, which was such a thoughtful touch - especially meaningful during our honeymoon. To top it all off, we enjoyed a lovely picnic prepared by our guide. Sitting there, sharing food while overlooking the oasis, felt incredibly special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting San Pedro de Atacama.

Our guide, Brando, was pretty cool and made the tour enjoyable.
Their pickup system is very well organized. Everyone is added to a group chat where they share the bus’s live location, so it’s easy not to miss the pickup.
The first stop is a restroom break, followed by a 45-minute hike. After that, we visited the Tres Marías statues, a salt mine, and then stopped for snacks. The snack stop had lots of options, including chips, cookies, chicken nuggets, juice, pisco sour, and plenty of sauces. There’s another restroom stop before the final highlight at the sunset viewpoint.
One small thing to note: there is an entrance fee that must be paid separately, either in cash at the office or by requesting a payment link through WhatsApp.

Short and wonderful
This was a great 'appetizer' tour to the great Atacama. Our guide, Xavier, coordinated beautifully the visits to different spots, the cocktail and wonderful charcuterie spread and the final sunset. Short, but covers a lot of the great landscape.

When to visit

Moon Valley(Valle de la Luna) and the Atacama Desert are must-visits for nature lovers.
Pack sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water as there’s little shade in the desert, but bring warm clothing for the evening hours too, as temperatures can drop quickly, even in summer.
Most of the desert roads are unpaved and the terrain uneven, so a 4WD is advisable, and comfortable walking shoes are a must.
Cell phone service is scarce throughout the desert, and Wi-Fi is only available at a few hotels in San Pedro de Atacama.
