There’s a special kind of magic in making cheese by hand — warm curds, silky ricotta, and the satisfying stretch of fresh mozzarella. Our Ricotta & Mozzarella Cheesemaking Experience invites you into that magic with an intimate, private, hands‑on session for couples, friends, families, or small groups who prefer a personalised pace. You’ll learn to create two fresh cheeses from scratch, guided through heating, curd formation, stretching, shaping, and flavouring, with tips for serving at home. Think warm mozzarella over tomatoes or lemon‑whipped ricotta on crostini. You’ll leave with your own freshly made cheeses, ready to enjoy or share. A creative, delicious, memorable Tasmanian experience for all food lovers. This activity is also suitable for children over the age of 12.

This elevated, hands‑on experience stands apart by offering a rare opportunity to step back in time and engage with the craft of traditional dairy making in a luxurious yet delightfully playful way. Your journey begins with the charming novelty of “milking” our metallic Shirl the Sheep, setting the tone for an experience that blends heritage, humour, and refined craftsmanship. Guided by a skilled Tasting House expert, you’ll learn how butter was created before electricity, when every step demanded patience and intention. You’ll churn, wash, shape, and wrap your own butter entirely by hand, connecting with a process that feels both nostalgic and deeply satisfying. The result is a beautifully personal keepsake — a block of butter crafted by you, ready to take home and share. It’s an immersive, premium encounter with tradition that you won’t find anywhere else.

Enjoy a true paddock to bottle experience that reflects the authenticity and quality of Lawrenny’s craft.

This is far more than a standard gin tasting — it’s a hands‑on, sensory deep dive into the craft of flavour creation. This is the rare opportunity to design your very own gin from scratch, guided by an in‑house alchemy expert who helps you explore botanicals, balance profiles, and shape a spirit that reflects your personal taste. Unlike typical mixology classes, this experience blends creativity, premium ingredients, and a touch of theatre. You’ll taste, mix, and experiment with high‑quality spirits while enjoying a signature hot or cold Apple Crumble Cocktail, crafted to showcase the artistry of the Tasting House team. The finale is uniquely memorable: sealing your custom gin in wax and taking home a personalised bottle that exists nowhere else in the world. Set within the serene beauty of Birchs Bay, this immersive session combines craftsmanship, indulgence, and the natural charm of Tasmania’s countryside — offering a one‑of‑a‑kind gin journey you simply won’t find anywhere else.
