Quite physically taxing....
Quite physically taxing. 1 hour each way of hiking and then a lot of swimming but it was so worth it. What a beautiful place on Earth to experience. Thank you to our tour guide Mohammed Aldighaishi who was so lovely and really took care of us. I’d highly recommend this experience

Fantastic tour
This was such an amazing trip thank you to Mohammed who is a truly great guide! He was considerate, funny and shared some fantastic insights. The tour felt very insightful and not too rushed at all. We had time to soak all the sights in and learn about Omani culture. 100% recommend

Great tour
Very full day with a lot of time spent on the road but absolutely worth it as a taste of the real Oman. Highlight was the visit to a bedouin house where we learnt the finer custom of receiving guests and sharing tea. Our guide Ahmed was a gem and willing to discuss all that Oman is - really enjoyable.

Great way to see Oman inland Treasures in a day
I had a one-day private ride/guide experience to Nizwa and mountains. We left 8am from Muscat and beat the crowds at every step. Muhammed was an excellent guide through the day and the chosen locations were great — in old Nizwa markets and fort as well as in mountain sights. Next time I must take an extra day or two for a full hiking trip.

Great tour to the Wabi...
Great tour to the Wabi Shab and the sinkhole. Our guide Ammar knew his business, spoke excellent English and took his time to explain things. Don't forget to wear your swimming gear before heading there, so you can enjoy the nice swim to the cave. It was a bit busy when we got there, so try to be there early.

Amazing guide
We had Zaher today and he was very responsible. One day before he texted to confirm and he arrived earlier on the actual day. Amazing knowledge from him and he’s so passionate about the history and culture of his country. I’m so glad we got him today as our guide. Fantastic knowledge and hospitality. He’s given me such a good impression of Oman and understanding of the country! Brilliant!

Tour of Muscat- Evening
Ahmed was my tour guide. He was extremely helpful in providing the deep historical for the landmarks but also make the drive the most efficient spots. The tour included Grand Mosque, the Opera House, the traditional Muttrah Souq, the marina, and the Sultan’s Palace.

Excellent guide
My guide, Mohammed Ali, was excellent, both in his local knowledge and in being ultra helpful. I was going to a friend’s place for dinner that evening and then guide went out of his way to help me, speaking to my friend and finding a safe taxi to get me there. He made sure the taxi driver had both his and my friend’s details so that they could ensure I got there safely. The locations we visited were beautiful. We were a small group of four and everyone in the group was friendly.

Memorable and great value experience
This was a perfect activity for a short stay in Oman and an opportunity to see some of the country's stunning natural beauty. The tour was well organised and the staff were helpful and friendly, with clarity on departure/arrival times and offering snacks and water. The views of the reef and wildlife were wonderful and well worth seeing. Highly recommended.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Much of Oman’s finest scenery lies within day-tripping distance of its capital Muscat, making the city a convenient springboard for exploring. Consequently, Muscat day trips are everywhere you look—primarily private, chauffeured 4WD tours that promise safe passage around the interior's rugged terrain. Popular trips include circuits of the souks, 18th-century forts, and villages nestled in the country's Al-Hajar peaks; journeys into steep-walled wadis (valleys) speckled with turquoise pools, and visits to untouched canyons, beaches, and the empty sands of Wahiba. Other options beckon, too: from day-long Muscat city sightseeing itineraries to snorkeling in the glassy seas around the Dimaniyat islands.
