The walking tour was Very informative, the guide spoke excellent English. She answered all questions the group had.
An amazing engaging, funny and informative small time intimate tour. Would 100% recommend! It felt distinctly different from the larger tours we saw.
This is a very personal and informative tour by a scholar and professor, who knows more about the Diocletian Palace of Split than probably anyone in the universe. Professor Vedran Mastosic is amazing, fun and approachable as he led us through this amazing city in the walls at this ancient palace and Fortress. He actually also has a book for sale at the end which I highly recommend. If you can also visit the ruins of solana afterwards. Five stars.
Great information delivered in a fun way! Saw all the areas around the palace
Marino was fantastic x
I found this tour historically interesting and if you were looking for something to do that is short in time, I would suggest this. Our tour guide was easy to find amongst all the other tours happening, which was nice Naissan. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Just a heads up there are several areas of the palace that we did not get to see because you have to pay a fee and do it on your own. That was a little annoying, but otherwise it was interesting to hear about the history of the palace and city. It was a perfect amount of time one suggestion if you are coming to split make sure you take a ferry over to Brad Island, which is only about 20 minutes away. I wish I would have known ahead of time because I would’ve loved to stay overnight there. It’s not to be missed even if you just go for a few hours like we did. Very easy to book a ferry the day of.
A succinct tour of Diocletian’s palace and bits of old town with a phd historian. It’s great way to orient yourself with the city
This was a fantastic private tour of Split. Our group would highly recommend it. The other tours we saw all had headsets and there were at least 30+ per group. We had our questions answered and saw everything easily.
We had a great tour with Magdalena, she was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Really enjoyed learning about Split’s history from her.
Really great experience with a lovely guide who knew her stuff. Really enjoyed the tour and let us have a idea of where to go in Split
Maggie was incredibly knowledgeable, spoke loudly and answered all questions. The palace is a great living monument.
Really great intro to the city - we had a good guide who was knowledgeable and efficient and loved her home city
The Split tour was a bit underwhelming. While the guide was friendly, we didn’t find the tour particularly engaging, and it was difficult to keep the kids’ attention. We felt there was an opportunity to make the experience more interactive and interesting. By comparison, we had a much more enjoyable tour in Dubrovnik the following day.
Thorough walking tour of the Palace and Split culture. Paula did a wonderful job showing us the highlights of the castle and proving details of the living palace today.
Very informative and fun. Learned a lot about the history and enjoyed the walk through Old Town with the group.
Goran was an excellent guide who was very informative and answered questions we had as he took us around the city telling us about the history of Split.
Our guide was informative & we so enjoyed the experience. Definatejy recommend this tour to understand Split history
Magdelena was a fantastic guide who clearly has a passion for her job. She immerses you in the past with stories and anecdotes. I really enjoyed myself!
Our guide was amazing! They were super knowledgeable on the history of Split and Diocletian's palace. We learned a ton about Split in the 90 min tour and it was fascinating.
We had the best time on this tour!! It’s beyond worth it for the price paid and our tour guide Maggie was so knowledgeable and engaging. I learned so much more about the city and truly had the most wonderful time!!
The walking tour allows visitors to follow the history of the city and the architectural gems built over centuries. Highly recommend visitors to do the tour.
Great experience, shout out to Mr Matosic - wonderful tour guide who was very knowledgeable and passionate
This was a great tour of Diocletian’s Palace. Our guide, Marijan, was knowledgeable and entertaining. It was easy to set up scheduling.
Guide was very clear in her English pronunciation. Tour was informative and we could hear despite it being crowded
Marino was an excellent guide who went out of his way to answer questions about the city as well as other enqueries
Leo was amazing but there were so many tours coinciding with ours we had trouble hearing him. This company should invest in headsets so that everyone could hear the guide - who was very knowledgeable.
Tour guide was good, but the tour doesn’t include entry to the paid sections of the palace. Very basic tour.
The guide was very knowledgeable with a good command of English
The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is there were no earbuds and it was a rather large group which made it a competitive situation to be near him to hear well.
My friends and I have had good luck with Viator in the past. Not today. My
Friend booked a tour weeks ago. After traveling almost an hour to Split to be there for 9 am tour, she received message they had to cancel. After getting that message, i booked a walking tour. We went to meeting point and no one showed up. No call. No message. Very disappointing.
Amazing tour! We learned so much that we never would have if we had explored on our own. As always, the walking tour provides a great foundation for a visit to a city.
Mario was terrific. Knowledgeable and he was willing to share his experiences to answer questions that were outside the realm of the tour!
This was a very good tour to give an insight into the Diocletian palace, our guide was very knowledgeable and funny would recommend at the beginning of your time in Split to get an idea of how to plan your time for the rest of your trip
