From there, looking down to the east, one can see an avenue that forms a straight line connecting three main features, including two outer temples of cruciform ground plan and a moat. then we head to standing next to an active pagoda, Prasat Neang Khmau, which consists of two deteriorating brick prasats (towers) built in the Angkorian era in the 10th century A.D. under King Jayavarman IV. There was probably at least one more and perhaps as many as three more ancient prasats. Prasat Neang Khmau was originally dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Next, visit Ta Prohm Temple, which was built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th or early 13th century.
