We will take you to a small local museum at Catembe Gallery Hotel where the late Samora Machel rested before he left Mozambique for the liberation struggle in Tanzania.

The Reserve is located on Maputo Bay 100 kilometers from Maputo and it is a conservation area and its 1040 km2 big (only 173 Km2 smaller than New York City – water and land area), the reserve combines lakes, wetlands, swamp forests, grasslands, mangrove forests with a pristine coastline We have 2 main beach spots to camp at Maputo Special Reserve: Dobela and Membene. Driving around the reserve towards our campsite, you will find the vast open areas where elephants and other plain games refresh themselves; you will drive pass different fresh water lagoons with a lot of great variety of birds, hippos, and crocodiles.
