The Masada portion of the trip was stunning. The cable car and views were really great. For the Dead Sea I would recommend taking shoes that are meant to be worn in the water. There are many sharp rocks in the water. Also take a bottle of water to the beach in case you get saltwater in your eyes.

A must do experience
What a fabulous tour. It's an early start but the day goes quickly with plenty to see and do. The tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable and the driver safe and timely. The Dead Sea and Massada experience is a must when in Israel and we especially enjoyed the buffet lunch at the nearby kibbutz. Thanks for making fantastic memories

Dead Sea coastline with transparent salty lakes, Israel
  • The Dead Sea is a must-see for any first-time visitor to the region.

  • Dead Sea tours can last upwards of 10 hours.

  • Pack some water shoes to protect your feet from the rough salt at the bottom of the sea.

  • Wear an old bathing suit, as the salty water and mineral-rich mud can discolor fabrics.

  • Don’t shave for at least a day or two before your Dead Sea swim, as the salt can sting.
