What are people saying about Budva

Had a great afternoon...
Had a great afternoon with Petar who was an excellent guide. Both monasteries are a bit off the main tourist trail so really authentic. Views from both stops are amazing as was the viewpoint of Budva bay and Sveti Stefan. Great way to spend a few hours.

Lovely morning doing a cave tour
Firstly, the views from the car park alone are spectacular. I took a 10am tour, which was quieter than subsequent tours it seems. There was a significant crowd on return from the cave. Our tour guide gave enough information to keep you interested, but also kept us moving. The cave 'ornaments' are stunning. Having the option to wander back in your own time back to the entrance and take photos is a nice idea. Wear something warm, there's a breeze that naturally runs between galleries that will chill you if youre not careful. The train ride down and up is a nice touch, keeps control of who's in a party going down to the cave.
Good coffee at the cafe. Adequate toilet facilities too.
Oh, and did I already mention the views from the carpark?

Excellent day! Definitely recommend!!
Excellent, excellent, excellent!!!
I can not say anything negative. We had a wonderful tour! The boat was roomy and comfortable. We had six people from 20 to 62 years old. We all had a wonderful time! There were light snacks, they were great to refreshments during the day. We were taken to a private beach for swimming and snorkeling. Best day ever. One of the best excursions we’ve been on in a long while.

These are the people to show you the Budva sites you need a boat to see
The company offering the tour is very well run with quality equipment. The destinations (blue lagoon and 2 sea caves) are super cool. Multiple guides really look out for you. Worth mentioning the blue lagoon, where we stopped for a half hour swim, is only accessable by sea and r4eally, really worth the stop.

Highlight of Our Trip
We thought we were signing up for a tour of the hills behind Budva. We ended up with fascinating monastery history, a meal we’re still talking about, and so many laughs that our cheeks hurt.
Petar was a wonderful guide—full of stories and generous with his time. Then Rajko welcomed us into his home for an incredible meal made with food from his garden, accompanied by homemade wine. It felt less like a tour stop and more like being invited over by a friend.
Nothing felt rushed, and the whole day was warm, funny, and memorable. If you’re in Budva, spend a day with Petar and Rajko. It was the highlight of our trip!

Cultural experience in the mountains
We were honored with a first hand cultural experience on this excursion. Our guide,Milano, provided a comprehensive historical background in a “down-to-earth” manner- quite interesting and compelling… we then toured the Heritage exhibit. He personalized the tour and made changes based on our interest. The tour of the olive trees and the panoramic views of the mountain-sides 1000ft above sea level was breathtaking! The tour was enhanced with a family style meal prepared by the vendor and his family at his home in the mountains! The meal, the tour, and the Vibe provided the cultural experience I hoped for. Well done and I highly recommend this experience!

Bus tour
It was a long day, but well worth it. The guode never stopped talking and giving us information about Montenegro, she clearly loves her country.
Shame we couldn't spend longer at some places though. 1hr at the lake is a bit misleading, the coach parked, we had a 20 mins walk to the lake, a 20 mins walk back, leaving 20 mins to swim and dry/change.

Lovely trip but make sure you know where to get the coach back
Beautiful scenery. Lovely stops. Herceg Novi and Kotor are so nice. The bay is just stunning. It was difficult to hear the guide on the boat though as it was just over a speaker so passengers just talked over him which I did mention to the captain. He just said it's different cultures etc. At Kotor I was given vague instructions on where to find the coach back to Budva (only because I asked) and it wasn't where we were told so we had to ring the company and be sent the map location. Not sure how we would have known otherwise, apparently other passengers weren't told either and just guessed/kept walking further than where we were told.

Fantastic trip well worth the money
Our driver, Dragan, was very experienced with these roads. He was very polite and made sure we were all safe. I traveled by myself and as soon as got into the mini bus I was made very comfortable. The A/C was great and well needed. Plus with only 7 of us altogether we were able to talk to everyone. Dragan, told us all about our trip as we went and he stopped many times for us to take photos. We stopped in a small restaurant for lunch high up in the mountains with a great view, plus a lovely breeze on such a hot day. Dragan, explained all the menu, which was much needed. The food was lovely, although far too much, and the prices were very good. For sure if I ever do this trip again I will be asking for Dragan, (space class) to take me. Every euro was well worth paying for such a fantastic tour.
