Great Day Trip from Amman
We had Omar as our lovely driver for the day and he made a long day easy! It was nice to have someone to ask about location guides and pricing. Omar would also pull over for beautiful vistas or tell us a bit about the area we were in. It made the whole day go so smoothly! We loved our time visiting the sites and would recommend.

Jerash and Ajloon were...
Jerash and Ajloon were both really interesting and the scenery and views were amazing. Umm Qais, however, was not that great and much of it was closed in January - not worth the extra drive. My driver, Ashraf, was very pleasant, flexible and accommodating.

Great day trip from Amman
Bader was an absolutely fantastic guide for our trip to Umm Qais and Jerash. He was communicative, incredibly helpful, and it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. He went the extra mile to make sure we all (especially our 5-year old daughter) had a great experience. Even in the rain, Umm Qais and Jerash were still both amazing.

Amazing Experience!
What a great day with Mohammad! He gave us a lot of background about Jordan during our drive and arranged a great guide for us at Jerash. The car was modern, clean, and comfortable. Would absolutely recommend for anyone interested in a day seeing the sights of northern Jordan.

Great trip with a great driver
Our tour was very smooth without any problems. Our driver, Yousef was great. He was waiting for us at our hotel in very nice clean car. We had good conversations on the drives. Yousef gave us great hints about each site on the way and even gave us some history about each site we visited.. The order of sites was also perfect with us ending at Jerash which was huge and picturesque.

Saed contacted us prior...
Saed contacted us prior to our excursion to give us details about pick up etc. He picked us up right on time and drove us to Um Qais first given the times. It was so much more than I expected and a really long walk through old ancient ruins. We could have arranged a guide (would need cash for) but we opted to do it ourselves. Saed always said "this should take around x minutes/hours to visit and meet me here when you are done" He also was clear that we could take more time if needed, but we wanted to be on time to make sure that we could visit all 3 sites, which didn't disappoint. It was quite windy for our visits but the sun warmed us and it felt like Scottish summer!
We next visited Ajloun castle, a crusader's castle, that had significance for christians and muslims. From both sites, you could see the Syrian border, which was picturesque.
Next, we visited Jerash and had opted for the guide, which was worth it! This reminded me of our visit to Ephesus, with still so much to find but so much to see that is still standing. Jerash was our favourite site, and I highly recommend seeing it!
Lunch was fine, it had a great view from the terrace.

Day trip to Jerash & Ajloun Castle
Hotel pickup from Amman and then stops at Ajloun Castle and Jerash. Mahmoud was professional and incredibly knowledgeable about Jordan’s history and culture. I really appreciate how he shared interesting stories and local insights that made each site come alive.

Excellent Tour Experience
In may 2026, we participated in the "Jerash, Aljoun, Umm Qais" tour arranged by the tour operator, R&H VIP Transportation Services. Our driver selected to take us on the tour was Mr. Shadi Almanasir. Shadi made our tour a wonderfully, memorable experience. Each of the stopovers were very interesting. At Umm Qais we hired a guide at the site. We viewed the two other sites, the Castle of Adjoin and Jerash, on our own. We had seen Ephesus in Turkey which we greatly enjoyed but I thought Jerash was much larger, better-preserved, and very impressive to see. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting Jordan. Regarding the tour operator, we had enquired whether they’d permit our driver to drop us off at a different location from our pickup. They happily agreed and thus, we were picked up in Amman but was dropped off in Petra. Thereafter, I requested the company’s driving services for 2 more days. We were lucky to have Shadi as our driver during those days. The first day, Shadi drove us from Wadi Rum to the Dead Sea with stoppages at Kerak Castle and the Pink Lake. The following day, Shadi drove us from the Dead Sea to Amman, with stoppages at Mount Nebo and St. George's Church in Madaba that houses the Madaba Map. We also stopped at the Cave of the Seven Sleepers that was along our route to Amman. In Amman, Shadi drove us to see the Citadel and the Roman Amphitheater before dropping is off at our hotel. Shadi is extremely professional and was very timely in working out the logistics of our various trips. He is a friendly and enjoyable driver who is very knowledgeable, providing us in-depth information about the various stoppages and sights throughout our trip. This tour, the tour operator, and our driver are all highly recommended by me and my family.

Brilliant day tour!
Despite the heavy winter showers, we still managed to see all of the listed sites. We were picked up at 7:30am to avoid some of the Amman traffic. We got to Umm Qais in around 2 hours, then to Ajloun castle, before heading for lunch. It was 12 JOD for the buffet and 15 JOD for the bbq meal option. We later arrived at the Jerash ruins, which was best with a tour guide as the area is quite big. The whole day was well organised, and was still very good despite the showery weather. Our driver, Abdallah, was great throughout the day, and was very safe driving.
