Kick off your Zanzibar adventure in Stone Town City with a stay at the historic Tembo House Hotel, where Arabian charm meets oceanfront views. Students will explore winding alleys, bustling markets, and centuries-old heritage sites just steps from the hotel, experiencing the town’s history, culture, and daily life. Then travel north to Nungwi set on one of Zanzibar’s most beautiful beaches, where students can relax, swim in turquoise waters & enjoy stunning sunsets.
The program continues with visits to aromatic spice farms, UNESCO-listed Stone Town, and a seaside lunch at Cape Town Fish Market. Students take a short boat ride to Prison Island to meet giant tortoises and explore historic ruins, learn about sustainability at Chako Zanzibar Recycling Center, and experience Jambiani Village life through traditional crafts, a local school visit, and a seaweed farm tour. In Nungwi, they swim with turtles at Baraka Natural Aquarium, visit the fish market, and watch traditional dhow building.
