Second part of the tour: Navigation Beagle Channel We will sail through the Beagle Channel, where we can observe the Fueguin fauna on Bird Island and the Isle of Wolves, as well as the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. Departures at 08 : 00 hs or 10 : 00 hs (depending on availability), lasting approximately 2 h 30 min. Upon return to the port, there will be free time for lunch at your own expense in the port area. In the afternoon, we meet again at 14:00 hs at the port for the bus departure to Estancia Harberton. From there, we will make 15 minutes of sailing in gomons to cross to Isla Martillo, where Magellanic penguins await us in their natural environment. Our destination: Puerto Almanza, a charming fishing village located 70 km from Ushuaia. From this delightful port, we’ll board a custom semi-rigid boat with a capacity for 22 passengers. We’ll sail for 30 minutes through the serene waters of the Beagle Channel, heading toward the famous Martillo Island. This magical place is home to a colony of Gentoo and Magellanic penguins, offering an unforgettable experience. We’ll enjoy 40 minutes of observation from the boat, getting close enough to admire their behavior in their natural habitat a moment that will leave a lasting impression. Afterward, we’ll return to Puerto Almanza, where you can relax and recharge before heading back to Ushuaia. Departure time will be confirmed upon receiving the itinerary.

We begin the navigation leaving from the Tourist Pier of our city, towards the center of the Beagle Channel, enjoying, as we move away, the panoramic view of the coast of Ushuaia. We sail towards the southwest, approaching the sea lions island observing their permanent habitat, in a wonderful setting. Continuing the navigation, we will go to the Birds island, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged sector to spot species of marine birds. We continue sailing towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. Following the south coast of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, when we get to Martillo Island, we will approach the beach and will observe how the colony of Magellanic Penguins that nest during the summer season approach the boat with remarkable curiosity, enter the sea by swimming under the catamaran and re-emerge.
