The area of El Doradillo is visited every season by a group of mother whales with calves. Due to the calm of its waters and the unusual depth of the coast (due to its steep slope), the whales come very close to the beach. The latter makes coastal sighting possible, with a high probability of finding these animals only 15 or 20 meters from the coast. The output is scheduled for 11 am and for 4 pm. The excursion begins upon arrival at the mountain refuge on the side of Lake Fagnano. Once there, we will take a rich snak and begin our hike, where we enter a century-old lenga forest until we reach the beavers area. We must approach stealthily so as not to disturb these incredible animals, who as if they were architects build their levees and burrows with the trees of the area. These small calm water reservoirs, also chosen by Cauquen families, are the places where the beavers live. Upon returning to the cabin they will be waiting for us with a delicious dinner.

I lived a unique journey to the top of Cerro Frias, designed for lovers of trekking and Patagonian adventure. The tour begins in the hull of the stay and, after an initial walk, we arrive at the Woodsman's Refuge, where the ancient farmhands collected firewood at the beginning of the 20th century.
