Top Nis Culture

With three Roman emperors born here, Niš won its nickname as the Emperor s City. This metropolis is like no other: you can stumble upon gipsy carriages drawn by horses while new and fancy cars slalom through the narrow streets, you can listen to traditional live music in a laneway bar while close by there is a hip music concert, you can admire a tower of human skulls or you can go for some quality shopping. Niš is a little bit of everything. Join our private walking tour and see some of the main attractions this city has to offer: the Holy Trinity Cathedral, one of the first places of warship built after the serbians won their independence in the 19th century, the Skull Tower and its terrible story of how the Ottomans punished the local rebels, as well as the Fortress with its collection of tombstones, the Turkish hamam, the mosque, the Roman ruins and many more.

Explore the myriad galleries of icy, sparkling Resavska Cave; travel back in time at medieval Ravanica Monastery and Manasija Monastery with its spectacular fortress; and capture natural shots at Vodopad Veliki Buk waterfall.
