Overall, a good tour. The snorkeling was good, site beautiful. However, they say that the max number in the people boat is 35 but they crammed 40 in our boat and it was uncomfortably overcrowded. Everyone was practically in each other’s laps. As a result, we used a different tour operator for our Phi Phi island tour and found the boat far more comfortable.

Amazing value
This is a great way to see 4 islands in one day. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to Lanta port and then visited koh hai, the emerald pool and snorkelled in 3 different places. Lunch on the beach was very tasty. Amazing value for a great day out.

A Great Day
This trip was exceptional. I was picked up at my hotel, no hassle to find a ride to a meeting place. The boat ride was exciting, the snorkeling just beautiful and the swimming through the cave and into the isolated beach among the cliffs, was nothing less than breathtaking. I am a solo traveler yet was part of a fun group of people. The tour guides worked hard to make sure we were all safe also. I recommend this trip.

An Emerald beauty
The Emerald Cave is a great and unique experience swimming 80m through a tunnel into a secluded beach. The snorkelling elsewhere was so-so as water a bit cloudy but still worth it.Beaches are good

Emerge into the light.
Swimming through the cave, paddling in the dark, only to emerge onto a beautiful beach hidden in the middle of the island was the highlight of the excursion and perhaps the entire Thailand trip.

Super fun
A wonderful day! The beach we visited was beautiful, the team were super nice and made sure everyone was safe in the water, and the lunch and drinks were plentiful. The team sailing the boat were the highlight for me, they were great guys! I only gave it a 4 because my day started a little rocky, I was late to be picked up by almost an hour - more communication would’ve been helpful. But the tour itself was really fun!

A must in Lanta
Excellent tour, class A boat, very nice crew and paradise-like beaches. The bufet thai food served on the beach was great too. Highly recommended. 1

4 Islands tour
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Thailand (and we did a lot of boat tours on this vacation).
The spectacular Emerald Cave, the wonderful white-sand beaches at Koh Kradan and Koh Ngai, as well as the snorkeling stops were all amazing.
The staff was very friendly and helpful - we loved that they dived with us at the snorkeling stops to show us the greatest spots and the most fascinating fish.

People Also Ask
How do I get to the Emerald Cave in Thailand?
The Emerald Cave (Tham Morakot) is located on the western coast of the small Thai island of Koh Muk, in the country’s deep south. Getting into the cave requires swimming or paddling through a long, pitch-black tunnel. The best way to access the cave is by an organized tour.
How long is the Emerald Cave?
To reach the heart of the Emerald Cave, you need to navigate a 262-foot (80-meter) tunnel that’s pitch-black. A guide rope is provided, and many tours include headlamps for guidance. What’s known as the Emerald Cave is at the end: a bright, verdant swimming hole with lush scenery.
Can you swim in the Emerald Cave?
Yes—swimming in the Emerald Cave is pretty much the only way to get there. While it may be possible to navigate the tunnel leading into the cave by kayak when the water level is low, most swim into the lagoon and relax on its sandy beaches.
How deep is the water in the Emerald Cave?
The water levels in the Emerald Cave—and the tunnel required to reach it—vary depending on the time of day you plan to visit. The maximum depth in the cavern itself is around 39 feet (12 meters). Most tours also provide lifejackets to make navigating the water easy and safe.
What is the best time of day to see the Emerald Cave?
If you want to see the Emerald Cave at its most beautiful—with its waters all aglow and green, as its name suggests—primetime is between 10am and 2pm. However, the landmark is often very crowded with tourist groups. For a calmer experience, aim for early morning or late afternoon.
How did the Emerald Cave get its name?
It’s little wonder how the Emerald Cave earned its name: The hidden lagoon is surrounded by high rock walls covered in lush plants. When the sun shines in, the cavern lights up in vivid green hues. Aim to visit in the late morning or early afternoon to experience the phenomenon.
