Plan A (Duration : 60-90 mins) - Premium option including a full-size "Rakusui paper" You will be making 4 pcs of washi postcards and 1 pc of full-size "Rakusui paper". "Rakusui" literally means "dripping water" in Japanese. Different from the standard washi papers, the unique look of "Rakusui paper" features small holes on the surface as a result of applying water in the making process. It has a distinctive and captivating texture when seen through the light. Plan B (Duration : 45-60 mins) You will be making 4 pcs of washi postcards with colored papers of your choice. In addition to the washi making process, you will also experience an additional process of adhering colored Japanese papers to the white washi papers that you just made. This process will add more color and patterns to your washi postcards and there are over 100 variations of colored papers for you to choose from. Plan C(Duration : 30-40 minutes) Washi postcard-making experience without colored Rakusui paper (4 pcs)

Experience Japanese tea ceremony in Asakusa, Tokyo. We offer experiences based on the Edo Senke School. Edo Senke was founded in the Edo period by Kawakami Fuhaku, trained under Joshinsai, the seventh-generation head of Omote Senke. Fuhaku later brought tea ceremony to Edo, the city of samurai. Blending Kyoto’s refined tea culture with samurai discipline and the spirited nature of Edo townspeople, he created a unique style. Known as “Samurai Tea,” this school features movements of quiet strength reflecting samurai aesthetics. Your experience begins by observing a traditional tea ceremony on tatami while enjoying seasonal sweets. Next, you will try a tray-style tea ceremony yourself. The instructor provides step-by-step guidance, making it enjoyable even for beginners. Through this samurai-rooted tea ceremony, we invite you to experience the essence of Japanese beauty.

In just 60 minutes, unleash your creativity with a lively Japanese calligraphy session. Forget about the pressure; this is all about enjoying the art of kanji writing. With personalized coaching, you'll quickly pick up essential brush techniques and witness your progress firsthand. A live demonstration of your name in Japanese characters adds a special touch, making this experience unforgettable. When you're finished, take home your unique kanji masterpiece mounted on a beautiful hanging scroll—perfect for displaying in your home. Laughter and learning blend together in this interactive setting, ensuring that everyone, from beginners to seasoned artists, leaves with pride in their creation.

This premium plan involves hand-making the gorgeous and beautiful "Unryu paper" with a pattern resembling a dragon dancing among the clouds, pouring it into a special mold to make two envelopes and four pieces of letter paper. Unryu paper is characterized by its unique pattern created by adding the long, thin fibers of Tosa kozo, and the warmth and luxury that only natural fibers can give it. The "Unryu Paper" that will be produced in this plan was created during the Meiji and Taisho periods, when writing implements changed from brushes to pens and the uses of washi paper, which had previously been a daily necessity, expanded. By incorporating long, thin torn fibers, a pattern that resembles a dragon dancing among the clouds is created. It has a unique, elegant, luxurious feel and is highly regarded for its various uses, from interior decoration to wrapping paper and materials for traditional crafts.

You will get beautiful photos by professional photographers wearing very gorgeous and authentic kimono by professional staff! Upon your return, you can use the photo data to create your own poster! Please be sure to arrive at the Studio at the time of your appointment. Please understand that we will shorten the time for late arrivals because we have reservations for the next time slot. Each person is allowed to bring a total of two props. No character cosplay or goodies that may cause copyright issues may be used. It is recommended that female customers wear a camisole and male customers wear an inner T-shirt with a wide collar to facilitate changing. For the best styling results, please let us know in advance if your hair is already set, styled, or cannot be altered (e.g. braids, extensions, tightly fixed styles, etc.). Depending on the condition, we may not be able to create certain hairstyles as shown in the sample photos. Thank you for your understanding.
