It's a rain or shine experience! The guide had umbrellas for us and we had our rain gear on. Be prepared for uneven footing on the cobblestone. You will learn so much about Sligo’s history and Ireland itself. Our guide was amazing! We were all shivering at the end. Was it just the rain or all the dark tales! 👻☘️☔️

This tour was packed full of so much history and a real unexpected highlight of our trip to Sligo. We couldn't believe the interconnected history of the area with the Americas, especially as my wife is from the US which made the tour even more special for us.
Our tour guide really knew her stuff and was able to answer any questions we or the group asked.

Quinn suffered a great deal, Dorthy was a hero, and Angelo was weak.
Micheal told wonderful stories of the people of Asiago to keep the tour moving forward and to keep it interesting and exciting.
Loved loved loved the waking, the stories, and the characters of Sligo, to creat memories to last a good long time.

We had a great evening exploring the town with our guide. It was a full 2 hrs and covered buildings we were curious about. It is worth letting a local person tell you historical facts and stories, as well as plans for restoration projects.
Response from Host, Sep 2023
Thanks, Dawn for leaving a review, was lovely chatting with you both.

Melissa was a fun and knowledgeable guide as we wandered through the streets of Sligo, hearing some great dark tales in the history of this charming town. She took a great interest in my ancestors’ Sligo history and even sent us some pages mentioning our family name!

We did this tour last night with our great guide Melissa. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about Sligo and its history. She kept the tour going out a very even pace, so that there were no problems keeping up. She also made it fun by assigning us all a character out of Sligo history, and we got to learn about all of these people, and the events of this amazing town. While the tour does focus on some dark and macabre subjects, it is not too scary for kids, except a little trip through a graveyard. I don’t want to get away too many spoilers, but if you are in Sligo, don’t miss his tour if you are looking for something to do in the evening, especially since many of the businesses close early. But I really was a great time! Thank you, Melissa!
Response from Host, Jul 2023
Hi Tim, thanks for taking the tour and leaving the detailed review, I'm sure it will help many folks thinking of doing the tour.

Lovely guide, interesting tales. Could be 90 mins and that would suffice. Maybe end at a pub and tell the last bits there? That would be brilliant.
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thanks so much for leaving a review and the feedback, I use to finish in a pub before the pandemic, may have to re-introduce it.
