Book through Viator, was to be a good tour as well as stops at Annabeth falls and Grand Etang. Received email less than 12 hr prior to tour with stops not on original itinerary. Met at meeting stop and everyone was meeting for a different tour yet we were all in same taxi. Had to walk in rain to chocolate place that felt like infomercial, then waited on corner for 10 min while driver went to get taxi. He then stopped at a road side stand to grab small bit of food for only the 4 in our group, no explanation of what it was or what it meant to Grenada this was at 10:45ish. Stopped at rum and Laura’s spice both extra charges and not where we booked to go. At 3:30 when headed back to port he stopped grabbed 2 meals with 3 forks for 4 people and dropped us at pier. We were so hungry since we anticipated more of a food tour. Driver called office, I spoke with someone who kept asking me for screenshots of what I got from Viator I sent everything, but we needed to get on ship. They offered for us to wait another 10-15 min for driver to run and get more food. I declined and told them I would be filing for a refund from Viator. I requested 50% since we did not get adequate amount of food nor did we see the sites we booked and the refund was declined. I can not recommend them at all and will not recommend to my travel clients who come to the island. We were very much looking forward to experiencing the Grenada Island food, but was disappointed by what we didn’t receive and customer service that followed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify that the guest booked and confirmed the half-day tour, not the full-day option. Stops such as Annandale Waterfalls and Grand Etang National Park are included only in the full-day tour, as clearly outlined on the booking page.
Regarding meals, your reservation was for four guests, and three meals were served. One meal was briefly delayed, and we promptly offered an alternative, which was declined. This was the third food stop included in the half-day itinerary, and all other experiences were delivered as planned.
The tour operated according to the confirmed booking and listed inclusions. We regret that the experience did not meet expectations, but future guests can be confident that our tours follow the advertised itinerary and provide the full experience outlined at booking.

Do NOT book this tour!
It is NOT a food tour and if you pay for the full day- it is NOT a full day!
We got picked up hotel, taken across the street and given a box breakfast and juice- no explanation until we asked the food vendor what it was-salt cod, eggs, sausage and a bake (bread)
We then went to Chocolate museum and got to sample some chocolate and ice cream- at 9:45am!
We then went to the Annandale waterfall and walked a bit there. We stayed longer to see the plants as the waterfall was quite small and not very interesting.
Next we drove up to Lake Etang and told to look in a house (small museum of the reserve) We took a little walk to a viewpoint and our driver/guide came looking for us.
We then drove down to the lake, took a pic and were showed some Koi fish that another guy fed bread to. We then drove up to the fort. It was now almost 1 pm and we kept asking when we were going to get food- we were hungry.
Our driver/guide stopped outside thw fort and said we could take a pic, we said “wait, aren’t we going in”? He reluctantly said we could and gave us tickets. We took our time seeing the fort and came back and he asked for our tickets back. We explained that we gave thwm to the lady to enter thw fort and he went back and tried to get them back for some reason.
We asked again about food. It was now just after 2pm. He told us he would pick up food and take us back to our hotel. We were shocked as this was a $200pp
tour. We complained and callled and texted the provider which took up more time. In the end he picked up 2 containers of rice, potato and chicken and a roti filled with potato and a little chicken, drove us to a park near our hotel to eat and thwn dropped us off.
Yes it was food, but not like any food tour I’ve ever been on and zero explanation was given as to what we were eating.
This tour was NOT worth the money at all
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Trisha we see you have delivered your promise of writing us a 1 star review, thank you. We must make it clear though that we have all the receipts of everything you and your partner ate and photos of you guys totally enjoying all the samples with a smile on your face, yet you were starving and left hungry? Hopefully this platform upgrades and allows us suppliers to reply to reviews with photos. Until then we also need to make it clear you cannot bully our staff into purchasing bottles of alcohol for you from their pockets. Its a Food & Sightseeing Tour we are only responsible for the description and itinerary of the tour not the wild ideas you have in your head.
The meals you received are food the the locals would eat on a typical day. Your definition of “rice potatoes and chicken” was actually rice & peas, potato salad, cornmeal cou-cou, green salad, jerk style chicken, macaroni pie and boiled provisions. The roti is as reviewed by previous guests is over filled with chicken. Your breakfast is also what we eat on a daily. Included in your tour was also rum samples and ice-cream. Permit us to ask the question again….you were left starving
? In the tour description it clearly states our half day tour estimated duration is 4-5 hours and the full day 6-7 hours. You were picked up at your hotel at 8:00am dropped back at 3:00pm which is 7 hours. According to our tour description that is a full day tour. Thank you for choosing us.

Driver/Guide Jeremy took pride in sharing some of his his country's favorite dishes in addition to sharing the heritage of his country. He made this a most enjoyable experience!
Holden_C, Sep 2024
The driver was over a hour later but it was a person reason so I do understand the tour was ok expectations.

If I can leave 0 stars I would. We booked a half day tour which on the site states it starts at 9am. The day before we get a text stating our tour starts at 1130am. Then the day of I confirm with them to make sure they are still coming to pick us up, they then push the time back to 1pm. Once we are picked up by a very nice driver, we are then told we only have one food place to go to and a chocolate place. For $150 a piece, that’s not what we wanted or expected. The owner denied giving us our money back. While at the only food place on our $150 a piece tour, we go to this spot where our food is already packaged and cold. There is no where to sit in the restaurant so we had to take the food to go. The next and final stop is the chocolate tour which consisted of a nice man telling us the history and showing us how they make chocolate(10mins). We then had shredded broken tiny pieces of chocolate as our “samples”. This place is a scam and I will Never support them again. Horrible! And down right shameful!
Response from Host, Jan 2025
We at Nirraky Tours have a zero tolerance policy for competitor related spiteful, slanderous and fictitious reviews. If indeed you traveled with our company please reach out to customer services with your booking reference number as we have no records of this incident ever occurring or anyone by your name on tour with us.
Thank you.
Jillian_A, Jun 2024
The price was not worth it for a half day trip. Would have cost me less to rent a car and took myself around for a lot cheaper. We went to the chocolate factory and drove past ft. Fredrick. Stop to grab a few dishes. Even a native confirmed what I thought. The driver was just doing what he was told to do so I don't fault him in any way.
Response from Host, Jan 2025
Hi Jillian, we are saddened to hear of your experience with us. If indeed your guide did not go to all the stops that were listed in your itinerary then this is not acceptable by our standards and a very serious issue. It’s quite unfortunate that we never heard about this complaint from you except reading it now in this review.
You booked the half day option which includes 3 sight/venue stops and 3 food stops.
Our customer services team has since reached out to you to get to the bottom of these allegations but with no luck. Please reach out to us as we would like to confirm what exactly transpired on your tour as we have never had such a complaint before which if truly occurred needs urgent looking into.
Thanks for your cooperation and looking forward to hearing from you so we can remedy the situation.
Kind regards

This was an awful tour.
Do not take this. You don't eat all day until the very end. The food was mediocre at best and that was being generous. The operators are very dishonest. I wrote another review and they responded back with all lies. I have 7 other people who will verify that we weren't fed until 4:00pm. You can not call this a food tour and starve your clients. We only went to half of the places advertised. Stay far away from the tour!!!!
Response from Host, Jul 2024
There are several companies offering food tours. We haven’t previously received a review from you which means this is a different company from the one where you mentioned you initially left your original review (and allegedly they replied with all lies) which proves the fact that you are not 100% sure of the company you actually went on tour with. All our tours are completed by 2pm latest and we have breakfast options for our tastings as tasting our Grenadian Breakfast is one of our very first stops, which would completely rule out that you went on tour with us and did not receive anything to eat until 4pm, which may also confirm that this review has come to us in error. We also have not had any bookings recently for your name neither number of persons which can be solved very easily by you simply reaching out to us with your Viator booking reference number and we’ll be happy to assist you further. Alternatively, may we suggest you take a further look as to which company you actually went on tour with and redirect your review to them.
Kind Regards.

Best day ever! Honestly a great time and great food and great host. I held a monkey and the experience was once in a life time. Thank you so much.
Matthew_I, Mar 2024
Jeremy, our guide, was very knowledgeable. The food was authentic and excellent along the way. He took us to some out of the way places right in the heart of St. George’s.
Joan_H, Mar 2024
Jeremy, our tour guide, is very knowledgeable about Grenadian history and the local vegetation—trees, fruits, plants, etc. (He should become a botanist and offer herbal medicines.).
The food was plentiful and tasty. We ate in places where only those in the know go.
Besides eating, we visited many of the Grenadian sites and neighborhoods.
I firmly recommend this tour for those visiting Grenada and wanting to know more.
Richard_E, Mar 2024
Jeremy was an excellent host and he exhibited a deep understanding of his country and all it has to offer. Beautiful country and beautiful people! The full-day tour is well worth your time and $. Don’t eat before you go!
Dave_B, Feb 2024
Wonderful tour! Jeremy was the best toyr guide you could have. Full of knowledge of food, culture, and history. He made sure we hit all the local food stops.
Trisha_D, Dec 2023
This trip to Grenada was my husband and I first time to the island and it was our first international trip with our 4 month old son. I messaged the operators before I purchased half day tickets to ask if our son could come along (he has a car seat) and they said he could come.
First, I had to request to change the day of our tour because of a conflict and the tour operators were so accommodating and responsive in WhatsApp.
Then, it was definitely a challenge for our wonderful tour guide, Jeremy to find us at our apartment (it doesn’t have an address) but he found us.
With the car seat and stroller, I expected Jeremy to be over us, but he was so patient! We were fully able to enjoy the tour which included the rum distillery, spice garden, fort Frederick and house of chocolate. The food was very good and portions were large. Jeremy was very knowledgable and didn’t rush through the tour, which we appreciated because the traffic forced him off schedule.
I recommend this tour. Just make sure to book the full day if you want to see the waterfall…and ask for Jeremy!
Hermione_W, Nov 2023
Jeremy was an amazing guide. He was friendly and knew all the good spots to get local meals. We especially loved the nutmeg ice cream at the Chocolate Factory!
Toni_J, Oct 2023
I planned a weekend getaway in Grenada and was determined to not eat hotel food the entire time I was vacationing. I booked this food tour because I genuinely interested in eating local cuisine, and boy was I in for a treat. My tour guide/host was Jeremy. He made sure we had the best of all the local foods. He also was able to provide us with the history of the major landmarks and cities we visited on the tour. I came back to my hotel very happy with the food I ate and the places I had the opportunity to see. This tour is really very special. 10/10, HIGHLY recommend.
Margaret_R, Jun 2023
OK, I am a newbie, and it was my first time in Grenada, but this was hands down our favorite part of the trip. We stayed at one of those all inclusive resorts, which, by the way, was also wonderful, but it didn't show us Grenada. We had the most wonderful guide, who was so very knowledgeable and eager to share his beautiful island and culture with us! His name is Jeremy. If you can request him, do so. He was so patient and kind and had such thorough explanations of things, even when we thought we were asking "dumb" questions. We were thoroughly educated about not only the history of Grenada, but also about the beautiful flora and fauna that make this island their environmental home. We went to the sights that anyone visiting for the first time should see, but we had a hands on tour guide giving us so much more information than we could have ever expected. Way above and beyond! You can tell that not only does Jeremy know his stuff, but he also loves his native country with a contagious passion! Now, for the food...come hungry! Don't eat breakfast and don't make a dinner reservation(we were full and had to cancel ours!). He isn't going to take you to any fine dining establishments, but he is going to take you into the lovely family owned places and street vendors where the locals like to have a snack or a meal. And you won't try just one dish at each place...you will get to try a good 3, so that you really have a great sampling of what places have to offer. Everything was super delicious and I'm still craving a bake and saltfish. I wanted so much to go to the last place we visited again, as they made this green soup with a banana and a handmade dumpling that was to die for. I know it sounds weird, but it was amazing, and my husband is begging me to try and find a recipe. Also, at every reataurant, park, and retail venue, we experienced the friendliness and beautiful hospitality of the Grenadian people. Because of this trip, we are already planning to.go back next year and explore some more of the culture that we didn't experience this time, such as a venture to Friday night fish and a day trip to Caricou! We hope to see Jeremy again upon our return! I highly recommend this tour, as it was very special!

Marvelous! Seems like you experienced the full package, fun and informative. We are vey proud to know that our tour guide represented Nirraky Tours well. It was indeed a pleasure bringing you on this excursion. We look forward to delivering another excellent experience to you the next time you visit. Thank you.
Melly_M, May 2023
Enjoyed this tour, Jeremy was very courteous and knowledgeable. This was our first time visiting Grenada and this tour hits several locations and parts of town. We enjoyed eating local dishes and seeing residents in their natural settings.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
We're humbled by the praise and are grateful that we could make such an impression during your tour with us. We are happy that you were able to enjoy everything that the tour had to offer. Thank you for choosing Nirraky Tours
Shirley_L, May 2023
Our tour guide was great he did his best to make the experience memorable but this tour should never be offered on Sunday for this day is a holiday for Grenada and most things are closed so we didn’t get to go to the distillery for the rum tasting and for the price I think we should have had more food we got to try the salt fish bake and pastries, and then we got coconut water from fresh coconut and then we had lunch which we had a choice of some stew, chicken peas and rice, macaroni and cheese ,potato bake plantains. We didn’t even get to taste the most popular dish oil down which I think she always be included in this photo but it’s only me on Fridays.
Response from Host, May 2023
Hi there Shirley, we are absolutely delighted to know that you had a fabulous experience with your guide so much so that he was parked and waited over 1 hour for you and your group to attend to a ‘personal matter’ that was in no way shape or form included in your tour itinerary.
Indeed Sunday is a day of limited trading in a lot of different places (not just Grenada) hence the reason we make an extra effort to ensure that the tour can still be held on that day by offering specialized catering. Rum tastings are an added bonus also please don’t forget to mention you booked a half day tour which includes specific stops as opposed to our full day tour.
We have had numerous tours being held on a Sunday and they’ve been a hit just the same, with some travelers even stating that we offer too much food (please refer to reviews from previous clients). Not withstanding, the very positive feedback from every other member of your group.
This was explained previously but we would also like to reiterate that Oildown is a seasonal dish subject to availability, we are sure however, you would have enjoyed the many other delicious local eats and drinks that were made available for your tasting throughout your journey as our food culture is quite diverse and unique.
This tour caters for anyone who would like to experience the best of both worlds; sightseeing all the major hot spots/tourist attractions on the island (Which are also ALL OPEN on a Sunday) with the added culinary bonus. Thank you for choosing us.
Kind Regards
Andrew_K, Apr 2023
Come hungry, because you’re not sampling food, you’re eating regular portions. You start with Bakes and Saltfish for breakfast, follow that up with a rum tasting, then a chocolate sampling, then a curry roti for lunch (watch out for the chicken bones in the wrap), a stop for fresh coconut water, and if it’s the right time of year, you finish it up with oil down. All of the food is included, the rum is not, but that’s just $2 for as many sips as you like. Speaking of additional costs, fees aren’t included (mine totaled $16) and considering how much this tour costs, I think they should be, hence 4 instead of 5 stars. As for the sightseeing part, you hit: Fort Frederick, Grand Etang, one of the water falls, the Mona monkeys and the crafts center only thing missing is a stop at Grand Anse beach.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
The team at Nirraky Tours are passionate about providing all of our customers with outstanding experience and the tour guide will be delighted to know he hit the mark with you. We value our customers feedback for helping us to keep improving our service. Thank you.
Susan_G, Jan 2023
Although we arrived on a holiday and many places were closed our guide went out of his way to make sure we had a delightful day. He took us to waterfalls, volcano crater lake, fed fish and monkeys and finally took us to lunch in a local place that happened to be open. He was friendly and I hope to book him again when we go back next trip.
gavin_m, Oct 2022
So this was a terribly overpriced trip. $165US each for basically a $20 cab fayre.
We didn't go to two of the major places listed on the tour.
When we challenged - we basically were made to sit in the car in the car park for 20 mins while the driver bought us a $4 bar of chocolate.
The guide literally took us to the first two destinations and sat in the car while we wandered round. Other tours were taking place simultaneiously with their respective guides showing and explaining the history of the sites. Please avoid like the plague.
Response from Host, Nov 2022
Hi there Gavin, Thank you for your feedback and we apologize for having had such an experience with us, however we must say, we are quite taken aback and confused by your review.
You were made aware of everything that was happening that day in real time and not once you showed any displeasure. There was only one place on the itinerary that could not be visited due to extensive road works along the route. For safety concerns for both our passengers and staff, we explained that we could not proceed to that particular site.
After the many delicious tastings, bites and sips throughout your trip, your guide went above and beyond as a goodwill gesture, from his own pocket, so that you can truly have a full Grenadian culinary experience, to gift you a complimentary bag filled with several different delicious local goodies that certainly did not cost $4.
Upon arrival at the various destinations, Your guide specifically asked your preference....if you would you like full guided commentary? Or if you would prefer to explore on your own since there were many snippets of historical/culinary/cultural/ info that was relayed throughout the trip and you chose the latter....Which means, saying you were left to wander around amongst other things is not completely accurate.
Regardless we appreciate your feedback and we strive to improve our services to our guests. Hopefully if you are ever on the island again we would love for you to give us another opportunity to make it right for you.
Kind Regards
Alec_S, Aug 2022
None of it worked really.
The guide was over an hour late.
The shops and restaurants were closed as it was on Sunday (but the tour still went ahead) - so the food was pre-bought to be eaten in the car!!
Not the experience we signed up for. We will never book through Viator again
Response from Host, Sep 2022
We appreciate the time our customers take to review us but its rather unfortunate as it seems you may have us mixed up with another company. We have no records of your booking or such incident ever occurring. Please ensure that this review is redirected to the company listing it was truly intended for. Thank you.

A great way to see the entire island and enjoy some local cuisine. Jeremy was a great tour guide! I highly recommend!

Thank you for choosing Nirraky Tours and we would be delighted to have you again when next you visit the Spice Isle. Thank you.
