Rottnest Island is great. We took the Grand Island Tour which took in the whole island with a light lunch and was a great way to see the place in a day. Barney was our guide and was really wonderful and welcoming. And off course we got to see the ever cute and curious Quokkas. Definitely a must do when in Perth/Fremantle. There plenty of places to eat but you can easily take your own snacks and drinks. Just remember the ferries run to a strict timetable so make sure you are on the the jetty as per there instructions for departure to and from the Island.

Good tour, informative, bus trip went too long and was a bit repetitive.
Would have preferred more time at the lighthouse. No time for exploring or climbing it.

Choppy trip over but then a lovely done day. Saw lots of quokkas and really enjoyed the guns.. The lunch was pretty ordinary.

We visited the ticket booth the day before we traveled so we could get our tickets printed in advance and we knew where we were going. This proved very beneficial as it was very busy on arrival. The ferry was on time giving us 90 minutes to explore before the train ride. The tour of tunnels was interesting and well presented as was the island bus tour. The chicken salad wrap which passed as lunch was average at best but other than that we had an excellent day.

What a great tour!! Guide was amazing and I walked away feeling like I saw the entire island. It is the perfect tour for first timers to Rottnest- a perfect overview of the history and high points of beautiful Rottnest. Highly recommend!

I didn't realize that Quokas are nocturnal so seeing them on this trip was not likely. The ones we did see and try to photograph were difficult to get a photo of because of other people hoarding the space. The island was beautiful but wish the tour had stopped at Parakeet Beach. Twenty minutes here would have been grand.

The tour provides a comprehensive overview of the island with several stops along the way. I could preferred less time at Oliver Hill Battery and longer stops on the bus portion. Nicky was an outstanding guide, and the tour was extremely well organized.

Terrific full day tour from Fremantle. Our guide through the military bunkers and tunnels was a very knowledgeable and professional decent. The boxed lunch was good. Our bus driver and guide for the second half of the tour, Nicky, was fantastic. She gave us a thorough and fun overview of Rottnest!

The experience is in three parts - the ferry ride to and from the island, the tour of Oliver Hill battery via a train ride, and the bus tour of the island.
The boat ride was great, the train ride was fun, the Oliver Hill battery tour was interesting, the light lunch provided was very good (freshly made chicken wrap, cookie and bottle of water) , the bus tour was ok, although it mostly consists of driving by all the little beaches and coves round the island.
You will definitely see ‘urban’ quokkas in the main settlement area, and may see wild quokkas on the island tour

Very enjoyable trip and tour of Rottnest Island with Wayne.
The ferry crossings were quite bumpy but ok.
Due to the timing of the tour I had time to explore the area around the jetty, having a wander around Garden Lake and seeing some quokkas in the wild.
The tour of the tunnels at Olive Hill was very interesting and then the coach tour of the island was enjoyable.
The chicken salad wrap for lunch was very tasty.

A little too long of a bus ride around the whole island. The train was fun- the guns interesting. As soon as the tour guide said that the walk to the underground tunnels was a “bit snakes today”- I didn’t do that part of the tour! My husband went and didn’t see any. It’s a lot of stairs. The quokkas are best seen around town - we saw some out on the bus tour but didn’t stop to photo them. All in all a long day but nice.

The tour it’s self was very good, but we were given a ferry ticket for 2 1/2 house to early. Nothing worth spending that long to do in town.

Had a lovely experience visiting Rottnest Island with my family. Ferry meeting point and pickup instructions were clear and easy to follow. The tours were conducted by guides who truly love the island and were enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with visitors. A wonderful daytrip from Perth that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

I was a bit bored on this trip. The commentary on the bus was hard to hear, and what I did hear was the driver mostly pointing out things.
The gun part of the trip was so detailed. Only an engineer needs that level of detail. What about information on how the men and women who worked there lived?
The packed lunch was surprisingly good.
We couldn't find the train station and we weren't alone.
And one last thing- more time at the end of the tour to do shopping would have been appreciated.
Tours like this are great for day trippers, but this one needs an overhaul.

The train ride and Oliver Hill with the WW11 gun. Far too long on the bus going to see different bays it would have been more enjoyable to have been able to stop in day Paradise bay for a swim.

The whole experience was memorable from the ferry rides to the tour. It was a little rushed and I would suggest you mix the tour with an overnight stay and hop on/off bus ride at your leisure as well. You need more than a day to see it properly. I was disappointed the train ride was unavailable and there was no mention of this when booking

We had a fabulous day in the island. Seamless boat trip even though Mother Nature was having a rough day! We booked the island tour and throughly enjoyed the tour, learning about the island and seeing the WWII tunnels. Thank you and highly recommended

There was no train rides, bus was not well ventilated. Price was in US dollars (beware when booking). The only positive was the guide was friendly.

Great way to see the highlights on Rottnest Island and take photos with a few quokkas whilst there. Quite a lot to see so didn't manage to have a dip in the water but looking forward to another trip to do just that next time.

There was only 1 opportunity to get off the bus to take photo's which was not long enough. We were expected to take 99% of our photo's through the dirty bus windows. They checked our lunch order when getting on the bus & still got it very wrong. They failed to mention the amount of stairs at the gun tour which was not suitable for 1 family member. Apparently the tour guides tell you when you arrive & the company has not listened to them about advertising it. They need more photo's on their advertising about this and give more off bus photo opportunities.

Good overview. Guides gave very comprehensive tour of island. Need meet and greet person when arriving on island . Somewhat confusing as to need for actual ticket as bus driver has all names therefore ticket not relevant
