Wonderful hike. Our guide Teresa was informative and fun very personable. The other couple we hiked with was very enjoyable. The Irish hospitality is wonderful.

Wonderful excursion with beautiful views—rain (like our day) or shine! Well organized and a great value for the price!

Fun experience seeing the tallest seaside cliffs in Europe from the sea! The staff were very nice. It does have a bathroom and bar/food on board. We also got an extra treat on the way back and saw dolphins!

I only wish we could have stayed and viewed the cliffs a little longer. There was searing indoors for those who didn’t want to get wet, so that was nice.

Very comfortable journey, staff were very friendly and informative. Trip was initially delayed by a couple of hours due to weather conditions but communication was clear and options explained. Scenery was amazing!

Very professional and friendly captain and crew. Wonderful experience and very worth the price. Ship has two levels and an indoor space in the event of weather.

Most beautiful day, lucky to have great weather, enjoy dolphins and then the cliffs, superb ride! The Long Island, NY’ers driving the island.

Relaxing cruise with fresh air, spectacular views, and wonderful staff who took extra care to make sure that we all enjoyed the wildlife like dolphins & seals. Lovely afternoon.

Amazing and spectacular views on a beautiful sunny day with informative audio guide. At times the water was choppy, but the views were worth it

The trip was wonderful. Would not have been able to see the cliffs in a way we could appreciate their grandeur.
The young woman who handed out the drinks is a great employee. Really appreciated the blankets going out to the cliffs.

A mazing! Beautiful area that only looks better from the water! The coastline alone would be worth it, bit throw in the MASSIVE mountains ON the shore, great big dolphins cruising the area and other worldly jellies floating by and a professional friendly crew and you got all the makings of a thouroughly enjoyable expierience, hooray! LOVED IT!

This guided tour was nothing I could have ever imagined. The weather was great. The bus was comfortable and cozy. The gentlemen, our tour guide, had a great sense of humor and shared so much history about the cliffs and Donegal itself. The cruise itself was clean and the staff were friendly. The cliffs and ocean were astonishing to see. There were lots of cattle and sheep on the cliffs eating the green grass. Overall, a beautiful site and a wonderful experience.

Very interesting to see the cliffs from this angle. Don’t forget to drive the the lookout after the trip to compare the view. Make sure you dress warms. It’s surprisingly cold out on the water

View if the cliffs was awe inspiring. On the return trip the captain nitice dolphins in the water and slowed and circled them so all could see. Much appreciated. Crew were very helpful too.

Outstanding cruise with beautiful views and a flexible crew who permitted us to see dolphins.
Recommend to everyone visiting Kellybiggs.

What an amazing experience! Great voyage, the cliffs are astounding. Left on time and even looked out for whales, which unfortunately we didn't see. Well worth the price and time.

A very pleasant boat trip to the cliffs (about one hour each way) providing an excellent view of the landscape and between Killybegs and the Sliabh Liag (Slieve League) cliffs. The cliffs are among the highest in Europe. Toilet and refreshment facilities available on board.

The boat ride out was great, we circled around the dolphins 🐬 and got some great pictures. The cliffs were nice but we had cloud cover so they were not as spectacular as they could have been. No one’s fault there. The staff was friendly and went around chatting with all the guests.

The boat had plenty of seating, upstairs and in the back (more room there, kinda tight up too) and very comfortable indoor seats. Coffee & snacks available for purchase. It was hard to hear the recording if outside but the crew was very helpful and friendly if you had questions. Great views. One additional highlight was all the dolphins on the return trip, but THE most unforgettable event was when the Garda Coast Guard did a practice emergency landing from a helicopter onto our boat! THAT was incredible!
Response from Host, Sep 2022
Hi Mary. Thank you for taking the time to write this great review. So brilliant that this cruise was the hightlight of your trip. We dont always have the Coast guard helicopter doing practice landings with the boat, but jusr sometimes!!! Delighted you got to see the great work they do and how we help with this.

Atlantic Coastal Cruises is family owned, helpful, communicative, informative, and **accessible**.
The ramps down to the boat and up onto the boat are, at low tide, STEEP. I walked down and pushed my chair onto the boat, then used it as a comfortable and fitted seat for myself. The crew helped within bringing my chair down and with making sure I got back up up to the car park safely. For someone with less mobility, it might be more challenging, especially without a support person. That said, the Atlantic Coastal Cruises staff *asked* what, if anything, they could do to help and checked in for what would be best for me--help or less help.
The entire cruise was filled with incredibly kind and thoughtful people, who watched out for me, but did so without being intrusive or obvious (one came to chat when the sea got rough, and I think it was to make sure I was safe, but he made it as if he was just sharing more information about the route and the landscape and the geology.
The dolphins were a surprise and a delight. What a joy. They were total show-offs, having fun and saying hello.
Slieve League cliffs were beautiful and impressive. The entire coast was majestic. The ship had excellent commentary on various points along the journey, and there are options for seating in the stern, up top (that part requires a steep climb I declined to take), and inside with seats and tables--and a snack bar with chips, soda, and tea.
I had questions before departure, including ways to get TO the dock, and the family texted helpfully to provide me with a number for a taxi driver (there are only a few in the area) I could book with, and both drivers were lovely. When I emailed around the time of booking about accessibility, the owners also replied promptly and thoroughly.
What an absolute joy for a local family to share their beautiful area and knowledge of it with us. I would absolutely recommend this company--and I'd go again!
[I only have no photos because I was a silly goose who accidentally left my mobile behind!]
