Once in Ballarat, just follow the brown and white tourist signs to Sovereign Hill.

Great day for family activity incl gold panning coach ride , school and theatre magic show and troopers fun salute

My nephew had a good time over there. The effort to create a gold rush era theme was commendable.
However the tickets were a little pricier for the kind of attraction it provides.
