Meet your guide and small group of up to 16 people at Verona Arena, then use your prepaid tickets to skip the line and enjoy priority access. Once inside, follow your guide on the grand amphitheater, admiring its striking marble façade, traditional tiered seating, and vast central stage.
Along the way, hear how the amphitheater was built in the 1st century AD and survived an earthquake in the 12th century; discover more about life in ancient Rome; and learn how the amphitheater is still used today, hosting the annual Verona Opera Festival each summer.
After exploring the Verona Arena, you tour ends back on Piazza Bra outside the amphitheater.

This was a great tour, learned a lot of interesting facts and the history of the arena. Federico was great and easy to understand. His presentation kept you interested!
very good tour guide with enough knowledge during our 45 minute trip to the Verona Arena. Although, I'm a bit of a "geek" when it comes to all the small details & I would have liked a bit more. But for the average tourist, this was spot on, as our guide had plenty of explanatory pictures in her folder so we could see everything we needed to know. I would definitely recommend this tour & guide.

Way too short for the cost. While the guide was knowledgeable, there isn’t much more to say. Good tour if half the price.

Our tour guide did a great job of showing us the highlights and telling some useful stories with information. She also was very good at keeping us out of the hot sun when possible, I would recommend the trip to anybody with family as she was very good with children as well.

The app instructions on the meeting point are very unclear - using the maps GPS option from within the app takes you to a point that is incorrect. We nearly missed the tour as a consequence. Much better to say ‘meet outside Gate xx’. Our guide didn’t bother to introduce himself to us and there was no way of actually identifying him as the Viator guide. Whilst knowledgeable about the arena, our guide made little effort to interact with the group.

Its unbelievable that this Roman era colosium is still in regular use today! I saw it as part of the Olympic closing ceremony on TV and as luck would have it we were in the area and jumped on the tour! It's history is amazing and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable!

The guide was very nice and told us several key facts but all we could have googled, price was way too expensive - we do tours a lot comparable this was too pricey

It was wonderful to have Isabella give us the background history on the arena. She was very knowledgeable & funny. Then to be able to skip the line & get inside quickly was such a plus. Isabella continued to guide us with her knowledge & show us the arena. A must do!
It was a great way to see the Arena and enjoy some history provided by the guide. I would recommend this.
If one would like a very very basic cursory understanding of Roman amphitheaters and gladiators, then this tour should be sufficient, especially if one has limited knowledge or background in the subject. However, if you've traveled around Italy a bit and seen the Coliseum and other theaters and amphitheaters, then this will be quite basic and frankly boring, without any real "new" or interesting information, nor would you see any areas of the Arena that you would not see with general admission. The only real benefit is skipping the line. The guide was quite nice and knowledgeable, but I don't think it was worth the price.

Our guide Maria was great. Very informative. Liked that we spent about a 45 minutes with Maria learning about the arena and then had as much time as we wanted on our own.
Be patient when the area is busy. Check where you are meeting.
