The ticket exchange place was able to give us an earlier time which was nice. The ride was smooth and beautiful. A bit of rain but didn’t deter from a great time. Gondolier was pleasant but didn’t talk as he was busy navigating the narrow canals. Everyone should do this ride at least once. 😁

It doesn’t start on time and the tour didn’t go to scenic areas. The Gondola driver said absolutely nothing and was on his phone the entire time.
We did not see any of the sights I thought we would see. For example, the Bridge of Sighs. We travelled along an uninteresting route. I was disappointed.
While the gondolier himself was very skilled, this shared 30-minute tour with Bucintoro Viaggi at €90 simply wasn't worth it.
The route was extremely crowded, and sharing the gondola took away from the experience. If I had to do it again, I would have skipped starting on the Grand Canal as we were only on it for a few minutes anyway.
For the exact same €90 cost, you could easily pick up a private gondola ride on one of the quieter interior canals and have a much more peaceful, personal experience.
* Pros: Skilled gondolier.
* Cons: Overcrowded route, shared boat, brief and underwhelming time on the Grand Canal for the price.
Not as expected. Gondola tipped constantly to one side due to other passengers changing seats. Gondola driver didn’t engage with passengers but apparently that is normal. I would not recommend this excursion. Spend your money elsewhere. Overrated and boring for a 30 minute loop. A water taxi ride is a better value for the money spent.
It was good but our guys didn’t say a word of the city or anything.
Didn’t even try lol which is ok but thought we were getting an full tourist guy
This was a lot of fun. Finding the location was very easy and the gondola “captain” was entertaining.
We were two and had to share with another couple which was fine. A good experience and not too expensive.
The ride was good, but nothing by way of a tour or naration about the sites
Also perhaps a bit stereotypical but the gondola outfit hat included helps to make the experience better , very few of the wore them ours didn’t
if you are planning to go on a ride with just your spouse, partner….etc… know that probably won’t happen. you end up getting put on a boat with random people which kind of ruined the whole experience!
Gondala ride booked said Max 5 people, and most gondolas have 5 seats. Ours did not!! My daughter had to ride sitting on the floor. Would not recommend this experience!
Wouldn’t recommend, not worth the money
You are sat with random people, not private
The workers mostly just spent their time yelling and screaming at each other.
Terrible experience. Boat was dirty, loading and unloading gondola was sketchy, operator was rude. Lady with us fell getting off and he never attempted to help her.
Excellent experience and my dream came true ride on the Gondola. My first trip to Venice and one of my dreams was to ride on Gondola. Every movie filmed in Venice showed actors ride on Gondola.
This is your basic “classic” gondola ride as indicated in title. You start off on the canal before heading back to narrow waterways which is cool. I would have rated this higher if the ticket meeting place was more clear. The address provided is exactly where you need to be, however, we did not realize we had to go up to someone in the ticket office with our vouchers. There was a representative holding a sign which said “walking tour”. As time drew nearer to our designated time, we asked if she knew where we were meeting someone for our gondola tickets. She said “you need to get your tickets at one of the windows and then I will get you to where you need to be”. Neither she, nor the ticket office representative were particularly friendly. We almost missed our boat. It’s a busy area, and simple instructions on meeting poace site would have made it a more enjoyable experience overall.
where we were to
meet was by a sign the grouchy ticket lady kept waving us away and we never met the guide- asking for a full refund we were there a half hour ahead and waited by the gondola sign- poor explanation
Save your money and skip this! WAY overpriced. You get paired with random people - got sat in the middle on uncomfortable seats and yelled at to not move. We felt very unwelcome. Whole experience was a zero.
Just know you only go down 1 short canal and then come back, the gondolas can fit 6 people and are shared with other people. We were expecting to see more than that but it was still cool to say “I got on a gondola in Italy” it just wasn’t anything spectacular. I would save your money and skip it to be honest.
It was fine but we really didn’t save any $ and we had to go with another couple. Felt rushed and not very personable.
If you are a very large person like the two older ladies i. Our gondola, you will struggle to not capsize the craft. Both were well over 350 pounds.
Good it’s more like 20 mins but it’s 100% worth it just for the experience and just to say you did it.
Fun experience! If it’s on your bucket list it’s an easy check off!! Good for families and couples!!
We booked a 30 minute ride and it was only 20 minutes. Our gondolier was on his phone and texting throughout .
Make sure you read carefully and note that this is a shared experience.
You will show up and be paired with another couple (up to 5 people)
If you choose to go through with it, wait for 25 minutes of gondala grid lock, there is nothing calm or soothing about this experience. You spend the entire trip looking at a line of gondolas in front of you. Unfortunately they have so many gondala tours running at once, that they take up the entire canals. The gondala operators spend the entire time scrolling or talking on their phones, again taking away from what the experience is.
If you’re going to spend the 90 Euro to do it, get one off the street. Whilst they seem to be the same company, they will more likely be private.
The gondolas still run in the rain! No conversation with the person steering the gondola. Not what we expected. We tried to cancel but they kept pushing to go in a thunderstorm.
30 minutes isn't enough, but that's on me. However, if I had to ride in a gondola for 60 minutes where the gondolier didn't speak or provide any information, I would have been more upset that I wasted my money. We were a large group of 11 so we were divided over three gondolas. None of the gondoliers spoke to any of the riders. The last time I was in Venice and took a ride, the gondolier gave us a lot of information. Maybe I missed the part where this ride had no customer contact.
It was a 30 minute booking, boarding was late, did not get the full experience I expected. What we saw was nice.
A beautiful serene experience. Limited interaction with the gondolier which caused us to do our own intriguing research truly a beautiful experience
Super easy to find the location. The gondoliers were very professional and made the ride a lot of fun. If you can get an early morning time we would recommend that. Less traffic on the water. It was worth it.
It was a shared boat and the gondolier was yelling at all the other boats. It was something to check off the list but I wouldn’t do it again. It was not as iconic as I would have imagined.
This is not a private ride. My husband and I had to share with another couple. They had room for 1 more but no single riders. Only 2 comfortable seats on the gondola.
