Such a beautiful evening. One minute your so disappointed because its cloudy and raining but then as soon as the sun begins to set the most amazing sun set. Being so high and seeing the cloud base below you was a truly magical experience especially for my kiddo, she was almost lost for words. I am so glad I did not do the drive myself. Our driver was informative, fun, and we felt safe with his careful driving up and down the volcano. I see myself as a very respectful tourist and I have to say I am sick to death of picking up rubbish, trash left behind by tourists who just don’t care. My daughter and I have filled two trash bags of rubbish during our trip to Hawaii on beaches, nature reserves, in the sea, and top of this amazing Volcano. It really is not difficult to take your trash to bin.

Travis was an incredible tour guide. In addition to knowing the road and each of its attractions like the back of his hand, we learned he was a certified lifeguard when he heroically saved a drowning woman’s life at the waterfall we stopped to swim at. We’re so grateful to have had him as our tour guide, the experience wouldn’t have been the same without him! The continental breakfast and hot lunch both exceeded our expectations. We also had lots of great opportunities to purchase gifts and treats along the way. Finally, we were very appreciative of Travis’s driving, which completely minimized the discomfort of the many turns and single lane bridges on the road. Absolutely perfect...truly the only way to describe our full road to Hana day, with Derrick, and Maui Sunset Adventures. We were delayed getting into Maui by a day and a half, so our first full day on island was our Hana tour, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was. My husband, and three grown kids (25, 21, and 18) all had the best day. We saw all the "usual" spots, and a few off the beaten path ;). We got so many stories, and history lessons, and all around great conversation for the almost 12 hours we were with Derrick. BOOK THIS! Mahalo!

This was an amazing trip to the top of the mountain! It's a tour bus, so if you get motion sickness, make sure to take something. Our driver, Corey, was enthusiastic and kept us entertained for the whole trip. The road is nice and wide, 2 lanes, and winds back and forth all the way up. Wear layers. It will be humid at sea level, but as you climb higher, it will get drier and much cooler. If you cannot stand cold and windy, make sure to pack hats and gloves as you will be standing around the rim waiting for the rise. After traveling back down to the town of Paia, we got a delicious breakfast! This is something you shouldn't miss. There's also a small giftshop at the top . Make sure to stop and support the park!

We did the road to Hana private tour, and our tour guide Kobi was seriously the best to do it! He took us everywhere we needed to be, told us so many factual stories about things along the trip, kept us highly entertained, and most importantly kept us safe and happy. Thank you so much Kobi!! What an absolute gem of a tour! Kim was a fantastic tour guide and expert Hana Trail navigator. She blessed us with innumerable facts, stops and treats along the way. We experienced Turtles, Cows, Chickens, Wind Surfers, a bazillion trees and fauna, waterfalls so cold it took our breath away when we jumped in. Fresh banana bread, disgusting fresh cocoa pod that she shared with us (but you gotta try it at least once right?!) and the provided sandwiches are actually legit and fantastic. Not those prison sandwiches you get on most tours like this. We cannot recommend this tour enough to anyone looking for a full day of exploration that Includes lava field beaches, black sand beaches that you will find in your naughty bits 2 days later but so worth it. Go to Hana and you will be glad you did. 5 stars.

We did this tour during our anniversary trip to Maui and it absolutely exceeded every expectation. From the moment Shawn picked us up, it was clear we were in great hands. He was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the island, sharing Hawaiian history, pointing out native plants and wildlife, and making the whole group feel like old friends by the end of the day. The limo-van was incredibly comfortable, and the small group size made it feel personal rather than touristy. We stopped at stunning spots along the way, the lush rainforest, cascading waterfalls, and the black sand beach were all breathtaking. Shawn knew exactly when to give us time to explore and when to keep things moving, so the day never felt rushed or slow. The food was delicious too, and it was such a relief to just sit back and enjoy the famous 617 curves without worrying about the driving ourselves. This road is truly one of the most beautiful in the world. If you’re visiting Maui, don’t hesitate, book this tour, and hope you get Shawn. He’s the real deal. Mahalo! 🤙

Roger was an amazing tour guide. He shared so much history and knowledge about each stop or place we drove by. He had us ahead of other tours so that we were not stuck with so many other tours. He even was able to add in an additional stop for us which had amazing views. He took the time to make sure we had an amazing experience. Highly recommend!
