I just completed the 7-Day Varanasi to Lumbini Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour and honestly, this is one of the best Buddhist circuit tours in India and Nepal I could have asked for. If you're searching for an all-inclusive Buddhist pilgrimage package covering Sarnath, Bodhgaya, Kushinagar, and Lumbini, this is it. The journey started right in Varanasi, with a smooth airport pickup and our first stop at Sarnath, the site of Buddha's first sermon, followed by an incredible evening at the Ganga Aarti ceremony on the ghats — a truly spiritual welcome to India. From there, we drove to Bodh Gaya, home to the sacred Mahabodhi Temple and the legendary Bodhi Tree, where Buddha attained enlightenment. Seeing the Great Buddha Statue and Sujata Kuti up close made the history feel real, not just something out of a textbook. Next came Rajgir and Nalanda, where we explored the ancient Nalanda University ruins — a must for anyone interested in Buddhist heritage and history in Bihar. The Bimbisar Jail stop added great historical context too. We then crossed into the Kushinagar region, visiting the Parinirvana Stupa and Ramabhar Stupa, the exact place where Buddha took his final breath. Deeply moving. Crossing the border into Lumbini, Nepal, was a highlight — visiting the Maya Devi Temple, Buddha's actual birthplace, felt like the emotional peak of the whole Buddhist heritage tour. The final days covering Kapilvastu and Shravasti, including the Angulimala Stupa, rounded out the pilgrimage beautifully before ending in Lucknow. Great experience with an excelent driver

Very peaceful places. Long drives, mostly through rural aereas. Excellent driver, very kind and attentive person. He was our guide in Lucknow, and did a great job. The hotels were very good, confortable and with restaurant.
