In this trip you will stay in the jungle ,no signal no internet even no power ,you can forget all things from outside and experience the beauty of nature, Wander through the rainforest and listen to the sounds of nature—insects, birds, and animals—in the rain from inside a jungle cabin.

Didn even get through the first day and loved it🧡 worth every cent. Guides amazing, 100% worth it , comfortable bed with great food. Full 2 days packed with adventures and memories for a life time. Solo traveler from California. This is a great tour and you should do both days. First day is more local life and way of living, a lot more authentic. Day two is more for landmark and photos for instagram.
The accommodation was more than simple. It’s bougie for cabin standards. It had running water, electricity, and air condition. There is no hot water but it doesn’t get any cooler than 75°F so your’re still fine with room temp shower water.

The trip took place in a boat without a roof. And this happened during a rainy season! As a result, we spent several hours in the pouring rain. A few dozen boats with tourists were passing by and all of them had a roof. As a result I got sick and the rest of my trip in Brazil was affected by it. Looks like the management just wants to stiff every penny out of customers without providing basic comfort. In the end they lost our luggage and it took some time to get it back. They provide a standard tour in the Amazon/Manaus area. I strongly advise against this company. Use somebody else.
Response from Host, Feb 2026
I am truly sorry and I understand your frustration but I’m afraid you “did not” read all the description before booking this tour.
We never promised a boat with roof because it would not be able to navigate through the flooded forest.
What we do promise and deliver is a true immersion in the Amazonian “simple” lifestyle.
Before going to a different place for touring I recommend you to do a minimal research and check if it’s a place that rains a lot or not and the Amazon is in the heart of the rain forest. That’s why we always encourage people to bring a rain coat.
If you read through the very descriptions of the tour you’ve booked you’ll see that we don’t promise comfort, but a true and authentic Amazonian experience
Regards

This is a great trip. Only missing is there is no life jackets in the boats for the visitors, which is very important .
Response from Host, Feb 2026
Thank you for your feedback
I'm afraid you didn't see the lifejackets in the boat but I assure you they are there since it's mandatory in Brazil.

I didn’t know what to expect. But this tour was amazing. It was really informative to see how Amazonians live traveling primarily through boats and having the villages they do. This tour is packed and pretty condensed with activities if you don’t have much time to experience the Amazons. Swimming with river dolphins, fishing piranhas, feeding piraracu, and seeing some of the natives. The lodge was amazingly nice, I got my own cabin with AC and bathroom. They mention if you can’t do a hotel don’t stay there but I found it more than adequate

My friend and I did the overnight Amazon tour and we loved all of it. Our guide Luguei was so knowledgable and patient. Amazon forest hiking, piranha fishing, cayman spotting we did it all. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, the food was incredible also. We will definitely be coming back!

It was our first experience in Amazon jungle and this tour was excellent. Our tour guide Daniel and all the other drivers and boatmen were very sincere, energetic and helped us having a great experience staying overnight in the cottage and gaining knowledge about the nature and life in the area. We definitely recommend this trip to others

This was a great experience full of adventure, including a very interesting hike in the Amazon jungle led by Fabio, very knowledgeable and caring guide. Personal interacting with pink dolphins in the water was just amazing, and fishing piranhas in the river was exciting! The overnight lodge was quite decent, with shower, air conditioning, and even wifi. Nice breakfast with the local family. Next day's trip included a visit to indigenous people village, with their show, dances and music, and then cruising over the Amazon River where it meets Negro River, and floating village, were also very interesting, led by another great, knowledgeable guide Erivando. And fishing again, but this time for huge Pirarucu fishes. Transport from and to hotel was also well organized. Great job guys! Thanks!

We spent two days and one night in the forest. The experience was amazing and super interesting. Fabio, the guide for the first day and our lodge host, is a great local guide with super interesting insights about the area and its characteristics. The lodge where we spent our night was really above expectations: super nice and really clean rooms with private toilets, air conditioning and even wifi! Denis, the guide of the second day, was also super good. Definitely recommend it!

I very highly recommend this tour! They pack in several activities in both days that make the experience worth it. I believe several companies offer experiences similar to the ones included in this 2 day/1 night amazin tour (though they may not do as many things in each day). What sets Amazon Private Tours apart, however, were the guides. They are locals who love their home and love sharing it with others. They are knowledgeable and eager to offer their expertise with you. Shout out to Fabinho for guiding us through the first day of jungle hiking, swimming with botos, piranha fishing, and Cayman hunting. And thank you to Dennis and our boat captain for making the second day exciting with spotting so many animals! We loved every minute!

It was a truly incredible experience. The activities exceeded our expectations. The guides were all knowledgeable, helpful and spoke English. We had a wonderful tour with Fabio and Denis who were all incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Their expertise really enhanced the experience, making the trip both enjoyable and informative. Fabio not only led the tour in Amazon jungle, but also provided the homemade meals and the overnight stay accommodation. It was very impressive. It’s a great journey from start to finish, and we highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a memorable and well-guided adventure.

This two-day and one-night trip to the Amazon rainforest was truly an unforgettable experience, it was packed with activities and every moment felt full of surprises!
The boar ride, close encounter with the pink dolphin and fishing for piranhas were all fun activities. Sunset was perfect. But the Amazon's weather was unpredictable. 5 minutes later, we experienced thunder, lightning, and heavy rain.
Second day is on the Amazon reason. The floating village, culture experience were great.
The only thing Is the 2-3 hour hiking was a bit too much for me. It was hot, humid and full of mosquitos. 30 min to an hour would be enough.
Other than that, it was a great adventure.

Overall I had a great experience exploring the Amazon and the Rio Negra with very informative and attentive guides, ‘swimming’ with the pink dolphins was a highlight and we were fortunate enough to see a three toed sloth on our jungle hike. The accomodation was basic but comfortable and the food was great.
I do think that there were areas where information was lacking, for instance it would have been good to be given a bit of a ‘lesson’ on the pink dolphins (I didn't even know they existed until this trip), the same goes for the fish farm on the second day ie. the kind of fish, what the farm does, where the fish go etc. we were basically just given rods with the fish attached, some safety instructions and let loose!
It also would have been helpful if the driver who picked me up from my hotel explained a bit more about what was happening, I felt like I was being driven into the middle of nowhere, other passengers were dropped off randomly and I was continuing on, as a solo traveller, it would have been reassuring to know exactly what was happening.

Guides were good. However, there was a disconnect in pickup at the end of first day to take us to the lodge for the night and we had to wait for a long time when we were told max. 20 minutes wait. Jungle walk was not too exciting - no animals except one sloth and a tarantula. Maybe better location is needed.
Response from Host, Sep 2024
Thank you for your feedback,
And sorry for not having found what you see on tv.
Amazon is a huge place and for making these documentaries they spend months in many different places of amazon.
I recommend you to visit places like Pantanal or Africa if you want to see many animals next time.
Best regards

Excellent experience. The guides were friendly, communicative, and helpful. The Rio Negro is beautiful! We visited in August 2024 during the dry, hot season for 2 days and 1 night. They were able to accommodate my dad, who is in his late 70s and is walking with 2 canes due to a severe quadricep injury last year. He loved the jungle hike, though it was definitely a struggle (be warned—they say it is 2 to 3km, but my iPhone pedometer logged over 5km). Getting in and out of boats was tricky, but very doable.
Some highlights:
- Pink river dolphin encounter
- Piranha fishing
- Good food provided and plenty of water
- Baby alligator catching at night
- Sunset on the river. The river is absolutely huge. It feels more like a large lake.
- Sunrise in a little rural village
- Indigenous village visit with some instrumentals, simple dances, and simple foods.
- Some little monkeys were hanging out on a bridge by a restaurant in the side of the river where we ate right by Janauari park. One snuck in and stole a mayonnaise packet and made off with it.
- Meeting of the waters
- The floating port was interesting. There is a massive placard showing the highest water level each year over the last 140 or so years.
It would probably be suitable and enjoyable for older children (8+) and teens too.

These 2 days were full of activities and curious experiences - you certainly won't get bored! We were provided with the food the locals eat themselves: fish, beans, chicken, manioc, etc. (+ some exotic snacks the local tribes eat) - everything was delicious! A hut where I stayed had an A/C and bathroom, the only downside was mosquitos, but repellents is a must anyway. This tour is one of the brightest memories from my Brazilian trip!

The food, the swimming with the dolphins, the piranha fishing, the sunset und and sunrise and everything else was so nice. This tour is a best fit for people who don’t have unlimited time but want to cover most of the highlights of the Amazon Jungle.
Day One: starts with a breakfast followed by a 2.5 hours Jungle track to watch Amazon animals and birds and other wildlife. I think this can be shortened to 1.5 - 2 hours because wildlife is not seen that much for the arduous track.
After lunch is the fun filled swimming with the Dolphins so get your swimming costumes and towels.
Piranha fishing is the next adventure. I did not do it myself but enjoyed the company of the others.
The sunset view from the Rio de Negro, comes after fishing which is awesome.
The last activity for day one is cayman spotting, which our guide Fabinho did with finesse. We came back to the jungle resort, had dinner and slept with a resolve to start the day at 5:30am to experience the sunrise.
Day Two: it was cloudy in the morning so we did not go for sunrise and wildlife watching on the hills. Tourists did not insist as well because it was not a good jungle tracking experience the first day also.
We had breakfast around 7:30am and another driver + guide combination picked us in a speedboat. Dennis, our guide took us to experience an indigenous tribe where we had good experience of knowing and dancing with them. I learnt to break a Brazilian Nut as well (I broke two actually).
Rubber Museum was the next stop, which was okay. Milton later told me that we had option of going to a River Beach also. Then came a 45 minutes rocky ride on the high waves of the Rio Negro where we travelled downstream towards Manaus to have a buffet lunch near Lake January. We saw Water Lillies and a few fishes in the lake.
Next was the Meeting of the Rivers experience which was like a once in a life experience. It was awesome and worth all the time and money.
We then went to feed Pirarucu fishes in a floating village which was fun as well.
This was a fun filled tour with most of the activities covered in two days and one night.
