We had a great time visiting the vineyard’s facilities. Learning about the geography, the vineyard’s history (and it’s origins as an early recognition of the effects climate change will have on the industry), and the unique approach Domaine de Montmain utilizes was all fascinating. The setting was also beautiful!

If you know about Burgundy wines then you will consider the wines from Domaine Montmain to be average at best. Whites are better than the reds but Burgunsy is famous for reds! They are all Pinot noirs. The tour was okay I think the guide did a decent job. I just wish the wines are better.

Nice personal story and tour. My husband has trouble walking but the owner took an easy slower pace so it was enjoyable for everybody. We could ask all sorts of questions about the wine. He made nice links to our countries of origin. Also by having introduced ourselves it gave the tour a personal touch and we got to know each other. The location is beautiful and authentic. The wines extraordinary especially the Chardonnay Jimenee.

Wine was good but our "in English" tour was joined by a walk-up French couple and over half of the discussion was in French which took time away from us to discuss and ask questions.

We were unable to take the tour, our train was delayed and we’d asked the tour operator for the possibility of help with transportation once we arrived and never received a reply until after the tour was to begin. We we’re very disappointed with the customer care.

We had a wonderful time visiting Montmain and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful location and very well priced wines. However the winery called us twice to request an earlier visit time as they were very busy. We tried our best to accommodate and managed to find a solution.

What a lovely tour of the winery, and very detailed explanation through all the process/areas we visited! And of course, the wines we tasted were superb, all very well described by the host who was happy to answer any question the group had along the way.
Additionally, the location of this cellar is so pretty, you’ll want to stay for longer walking around & sightseeing.
I recommend if you are in the area.
