Crossing from the charming small town of Barichara to the even smaller and magical town of Guane is one of those activities you must do when in Santander. You will adventure through a path that has a perfect combination of cobblestoned trails, nature, amazing landscapes, warm and friendly people all along the way. And though the day will be a bit hot, we guarantee you it will all be worth it as there will not be a minute of boredom during this walk. Join us and live it on your own! The Camino Real from Barichara to Guane is a path of 5,5 km and walking it can take from 2 to 3 hours. The hike has a low-medium level of difficulty and most of the route is on a wide cobblestone path so no one can miss this experience. This path was declared a national monument in 1977 and restored in 1988. It is a faithful reflection of the work of the Guane Indians who inhabited the area, since it was built with stone, so representative of this region.

The Chicamocha Canyon is the second largest in the world and in it we can observe its majestic river that for lovers of extreme sports the rating on this river turns out to be an experience. It leaves from San Gil at 10:00 a.m. until you reach the rafting starting point of the Chicamocha River (fishing bridge) the descent is made to the municipality of Jordan (changrilla refuge) traveling 15km, in changrilla you will enjoy a typical lunch of the region and a cold beer to pass the heat.
