Big Mike is a great tour guide/driver. A native Hawaiian, he Shares his knowledge of the island culture, history, and customs. The day our Tour he modified his normal route, attempting to catch the last few minutes of an eruption. The lunch provided at the Farmers Market was excellent! Highly recommend this tour! 6 stars.

Very enriching experience!

This was a very organized, polished tour. It was great to have the commentary, visuals, artifacts, and music in the van in between stops. Tour guides were excellent and very accommodating! Would highly recommend this tour. We were only in town for the day and I feel like we got to see a lot.

Our guide Jill was excellent. She is an owner of the tour company and native to the island. While we could have done most of it by car, her insights were very helpful. As a bonus she took us back to see the new lava just starting to flow from the volcano. It erupted 4 days later.

Great day trip!!

Aaron was great! We ended up doing a full day rather than the half day we initially booked. I am so glad we did this tour instead of just renting a car. Aaron is local and was a delight to interact with. He kept tabs on all of us (8 total) and an eye on the time. We loved being picked up and dropped off at our cruise ship—he was very easy to find. Aaron’s love of the area is clear and we benefited from his enthusiasm. Van was comfortable and clean, and Aaron was an excellent driver.

The best day ever!

Rae could not have been a better host- he shared his vast knowledge of the history of Hilo, was excited to bring us to see the volcano erupting and all the wonders of the national park! This was our first time...

This was our first time being in Hawaii and wanted to find an activity to do with friends. Amanda, our tour guide was AMAZING from the start. She greeted us with such kindness. Great tour guide!

Our tour guide, Karen, was the best! She made us feel welcome and shared many of her own experiences in relationship to the places we were seeing. Despite the weather being foggy and rainy up on the mountain, she made our day most enjoyable!!! Rainbow Falls was one of the highlights of the tour!

This was a fantastic tour...

This was a fantastic tour that covered everything we wanted to see in Hilo, from Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park and Rainbow Falls to several historical landmarks, all with great stories along the way! Aaron was a knowledgeable and passionate guide who also provided excellent recommendations for additional things to do in the Hilo area after the tour. He made sure to tailor the experience to each family’s main points of interest, checking in at each stop to see if we wanted to spend any additional time there. Returning to the visitor center at Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park so my son could earn his Junior Ranger badge before we left was especially important to our family, and Aaron made sure we could fit it in. Although we had to adjust a few viewpoint stops due to the vog, we still got great pictures of the volcano and steam vents. Aaron also gave us a wonderful recommendation for lunch at the farmers market, and we were so glad we took his advice! All the snacks provided throughout the tour were another great touch that made the experience even better for my son. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see all the major highlights in one day without the stress of navigating and fighting for parking at every stop. Aaron made the entire experience enjoyable, informative, and family-friendly!

Great Volcano tour

The tour picked us up at the port of Hilo in a nice van. The guide is local and gave us an interesting tour of Hilo and many interesting facts & stories about Volcano National Park. We stopped at 5 places inside the park - Visitor Ctr, main viewing area, steam vents, lava tube walk through and park entrance sign (photo opp). He purchased local fruit which he cut and shared after the last park stop, as well as water bottles. Definitely a great tour!

Amazing Tour Experience! It's a Must Do Tour!!

What an amazing experience! My husband and I traveled with our friends to this outting - what a top notch experience! Justin was an amazing tour guide and his willingness to chase the best volcano experience was truly awesome! We were very lucky and the sky cleared completely so we could see the lava and steam emitting from the fissure! Wow! We traveled to a few different locations to get closer and closer! Justin was right there with us! Rainbow waterfall was flowing rapidly esp. with the extra rain we were experiencing. By the time we got to explore the beach to see the turtles it was pouring rain...but there was Justin right along next to us handing out umbrellas so we could enjoy the view without getting soaked! What a great guy! This is a MUST-DO tour! We highly recommend and will definitely do again next time we are in Hawaii! Mahalo Justin! You are a class act!

Amazing Volcano National Park tour

Our Volcano National Park tour was amazing! Another tour company canceled at last minute, but we were able to get our private tour booked quickly. Our guide, Katelynn, was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the stops we made, including Lili’uokalani Gardens and Rainbow Falls. Katelynn shared lots of history during our Volcano National Park tour, asked about our interests and hiking skill level, and brought us to the best viewing areas. She even shared her experience with a lava flow near her home. Overall, our trip to Volcano National Park was amazing. We would definitely book another tour with Katelynn again in the future!
