The Samarkand tour was excellent and we are so glad we booked the private one. Faruk was extremely polite and patient, as he explained all the sights with expertise. Bonus was the amazing pictures and videos he clicked of us too. We had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!
This tour is an absolute must…do not skimp, do the all inclusive with lunch. I had a fantastic day with Amin. First, Amin is a really great guide who is extremely knowledgeable. Second, you’re able to efficiently see all the major sites by going on Amin’s route (and his ability to park close to everything). Third, we had a fabulous lunch where Amin even explained why the Samarkand plov is different than the Tashkent-style I’m used to. This is well worth the money and I wouldn’t hesitate to book this tour again (or one of his others) next time I’m in Uzbekistan.
Amin was a great guide. Very good English, and a total gentleman and funny. He took us around the city and hit all the major sights with interesting things to talk about and point out. He knew all the back streets and knew the parking spots nearby. We started out at 9 am so many places were crowded already so you may want to start earlier
Amin was fantastic! He is so funny and passionate. We had an amazing time seeing all the monuments with him. He even took out extra time to take us to Afrosiyob and took the efforts to find us good vegetarian food in Samarkand. Highly recommend this tour!!
It was a really disappointing experience, especially because we were excited to learn more about the history and culture. Unfortunately, our guide, Pak, gave very basic and boring explanations and often just told us to wait while he stood somewhere else. It felt like we were there mainly to take pictures.
When we asked about the differences between the architectural styles or the Arabic inscriptions, he couldn’t really explain them. He also wasn’t very friendly or engaging. Overall, it didn’t feel like he was particularly interested in the history himself, and the tour lacked the knowledge and enthusiasm we were hoping for.
Amin is a fantastic tour guide. Very knowledgable and very fun. The tour is fascinating. The historical places are so beautiful.

I had a fantastic experience on this tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to my guide, Farrux. He was incredibly kind, patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating throughout the entire trip. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I was comfortable and enjoying the experience at every stage.
What I especially appreciated was how flexible and attentive he was. I never felt rushed, and he was always happy to adjust things based on what I needed or was most interested in. He genuinely went out of his way to make the experience smooth, enjoyable, and memorable.
Farrux was also very informative without making the tour feel like a lecture. He gave plenty of interesting context and helped me understand the places I was visiting much better.
Overall, an excellent experience and a wonderful guide. I felt very well taken care of from beginning to end. Highly recommend the tour, and especially Farrux!

A great day with Amin, a professional Samarkand expert. We loved that he understood our requirements, pace, and preferred attractions. Amin adjusted the itinerary to make us happy, including a visit to a top restaurant outside of tourist zone and a visit to a local supermarket. Amin has a great personality and my 26 year old daughter and I enjoyed spending time with him. Highly recommended !

We had an amazing experience from beginning to end! Everything was incredibly well organized, and communication before the tour was excellent. Our guide was punctual, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. We didn't just visit the famous landmarks—we learned the fascinating history, culture, and many details that we would never have discovered on our own.

I booked this private tour during a longer trip through Central Asia, and it turned out to be one of the highlights. Pickup from my hotel was punctual, the car was clean and comfortable, and the pace was completely adjusted to me — never rushed, always time for photos and questions.
My guide was friendly and genuinely knowledgeable, weaving the history of the Silk Road and the Timurid era into every stop. Plov was great too!
Everything was well organized from the first message to the drop-off, and the flexibility of a private tour made all the difference in the July heat. Highly recommended if you want to get the most out of Samarkand without any hassle.

Amin is the best tour guide you can get in Samarkand. He knows all the places you should visit in Samarkand. He knows exact spots for you. He is super friendly. Speaks perfect English and is very knowledgeable regarding the history of his country and city. We strongly recommend you talk to him and organize with him your tour around Samarkand. He was very punctual, his car very clean and always had water available for us.

Otabek was an incredible tour guide. So knowledgeable on Uzbekistan's history and we learned a lot. The tour covered key historical sites and a nice bazaar and we were very satisfied. Great value for money!

We had great time in Samarkand. We came only for one day from Tashkent. We booked train tickets ourselves on Uzbek rail official web. We scheduled to be pick up and drop off at the train station, which was great. The local tour operation Amin contacted us immediately and confirm our booking. Our tour guide Aziza was fantastic. The best guide so far during our long trip. Her English was very good. We added one more stop to the interbinary, Imam Bukhari complex, which was outside of the city, so we paid extra, but it was worth to see, if you have time. Aziza adjusted the logistic to our needs, so we had time to have delicious lunch at the local restaurant. Also big thank you to our driver, his car was clean and looked new.

We had a great tour of Samarkand with our guide Akmal. Since my parents only speak Russian, I booked the tour in Russian.
Akmal picked us up on time from our hotel and showed us the main sightseeing spots in the city. He shared interesting facts about the culture and history of Uzbekistan and told us about each place we visited. I actually learned a lot about Uzbekistan from him. He is very knowledgeable, and the way he delivered the information was easy to understand.
We appreciated his calm and mature personality. I also appreciated his safe driving style.
Overall, it was a great experience.

Hassle Free booking and pick-up with the awesome guide himself -Amin, he made sure to take time (not in a rush) during Tour, always ready to answer questions and kind enough to make sure everything is alright( took good photos as well). Shared a glimpse of Samarkand's history tied in each attractions with enthusiasm not just for the sake of completing the tour. Highly recommended if you have short or long stay in Samarkand.
