The driver was punctual with a pickup,at Sandals. His driving was certainly put to the test with curvy (even hairpins turns) tight, hilly (both up and down)before we arrived at the falls. It’s a bit beyond Sandals but quite scenic. Both the dark view, lower falls and the bamboo bridge.
The stop at the pirates of the Caribbean movie scene display was a bit rundown.
We did see the local bad boys prison. Actually had vendors along the exterior prison fence.
Just keep in mind, you do get a nice view of the island, and you must take that ride back to the resort.

Basic tour of the following:

There were 12 0f us on a 14 passenger van. Lots of time driving to different sites. Our driver offered beer, water, and punch. Snacks were plantain chips and bananas. Guide-driver did give some initial information. This tour was a cheaper alternative to cruise ship. The Pirates of Caribbean was disappointing.

Our guide was lovely, but his taxi was clapped out and cramped with six adult passengers. No seat belts or headrests for middle seats. Aircon didn’t work - had to be switched off when going up or down steep hills as the engine was at risk of overheating. Hills were tortuously slow. Taken to the Sandals beach - but only had access to a tiny public section where the state of the chairs and umbrellas matched the state of the taxi. Not enough time at the waterfalls or for lunch to arrive within our 30minute time window at the Pirates of the Caribbean beach, which we were told was a lunch stop opportunity. Promised snacks and fruit but given only a small slice of golden apple, bought by chance from a passing farmer. Stopped at a supermarket en route for ice and plenty of drinks available. Also missed botanical gardens as out of time to be back to ship. Not
entirely the fault of the knackered taxi - we had stopped at a pharmacy, got delayed behind a large tour group (unable to cross bamboo bridge) at the waterfalls and had a longer wait than expected for lunch. Lovely island and great places to visit - but lots of our time was spent overheating in the clapped out taxi trying to get there.

Our guide, Oistin, took us to the waterfalls of this lovely destination. During the excursion, he shared a lot of information about the island. The Driver was showing and explaining us as a local Guide everthing about St. Vincent. The Dark Falls were great and the stops also just Buccament Bay was not that nice, because everything was closed or under construction and this won‘t change until the beginning of 2024.

Greta kufy ( sorry If I spelled it wrong ) is one the best tour guides you can have on this trip. Even though the pirates of the Caribbean tour was very underwhelming. The dark view waterfall was beautiful and relaxing! I came on this trip to research my Garifuna heritage, and Greta was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable that she was my go to tour guide throughout the whole trip! I highly recommend checking out the waterfall and having her as your tour guide.

A beautiful experience to experience the island and see the beautiful vegetation. At the meeting point it was a bit “chaotic” with the layout, but after that we started with some photo stops. Unfortunately, the driver was hard to understand, he had no mic and it was very exhausting - in need of improvement. The way to the falls was fantastic and the falls were small but beautiful. The suspension bridge was very small, if you know other things. Unfortunately, all the tourists have jammed there, as you could not even enjoy it alone. The location of “Curse of the Carbide” may be worth seeing, but it’s getting old. The beach is dark there, you should know beforehand. The botanical garden was no longer approached, which was a pity, as this was also not wanted by the driver and we could not visit this unfortunately.

Wir waren nur zu viert bei der Tour, so richtete sich unser Fahrer nach unseren Wünschen. Am Strand blieben wir zum Beispiel nicht sehr lange, dort hat es uns überhaupt nicht gefallen. Das Fort ist zur Zeit geschlossen, auf unseren Wunsch fuhr der Fahrer trotzdem dorthin und wir konnten die Aussicht genießen. Die Wasserfälle sind sehr sehenswert und auch das Baden unterm dem Wasserfall war toll. Der botanische Garten ist sehr klein, eine Führung ist sehr zu empfehlen, kostet aber 5 USD pro Person. Wir haben viel über die einzelnen Pflanzen und Bäume gelernt und durften an vielen Blättern und Blüten schnuppern. Der Drehort von Pirates of the Carribean ist eine reine Touristenattraktion,muss man. Icht unbedingt gesehen haben. Unser Fahrer hat währen der Fahrt immer wieder angehalten, damit wir an besonderen Stellen Fotos machen konnten. Getränke gab es ausreichend, Wasser, Bier und Fruchtsaft. Eine tolle Tour mit vielen Informationen, leider nur auf Englisch. Vielen Dank an Austin, er ist ein toller Fahrer!
