Overview
This is an excellent pick for nature lovers. Visit the spectacular Dark View Falls—a set of twin waterfalls that are reached using a bamboo bridge. Exploring this outdoor landscape with a guide means there’s no need to study a map or plan transport to get there. After the waterfalls, the trip also visits Fort Charlotte, small fishing towns, and filming locations from “Pirates of the Caribbean”—including Buccament Beach.

We ended up doing a private tour because they needed 4 guests to do this through Viator. We ended up paying twice what we were expecting but still worth it. It was a great way to see the island. Sean was a great guide.

The night before the trip we had a message from Viator saying we were the only people booked on the trip so it may not happen. We had paid and had our tickets. Because it had not been cancelled we set the alarm for 6am and were ready to go. 2 minutes before we were due to be picked up the tour was cancelled and we were told we would be refunded. Waste of a day. We booked a local taxi instead. I understand tours may need to be cancelled but 2 minutes before was unacceptable. Never been let down by Viator before but would be cautious in the future.

This was a good tour. The tour guide didn’t just take us to the Falls, but he told about the history of the island (past and recent). He also gave us a good idea of the culture of the island.
The walk across the bridge and up to the waterfalls felt safe and we were helped all the way up and back.
Mr. Fraser provided lunch cooked by his wife to us and it was an excellent meal. Kudos to him and his wife.
It was a thoroughly great tour and worth every $$.

Everything about this excursion was perfect - from being picked up from the hotel by Shawn to hearing history about the island. We met up with Joseph and his group and enjoyed the falls and a scrumptious lunch of local cuisine prepared by Joe’s wife. This is a must when visiting the island!

Excellent experience! We were fortunate to have Ronald as our tour guide. You can tell how much he loves his country and how proud he is of everything here. His enthusiasm and excellent narration really made the tour come alive for us. The steps to the second waterfall were fairly difficult and tricky, but they are there to help every step of the way. Wear good traction water shoes!! Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get a glimpse of the inner country.

We booked this trip at the last minute. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the ferry terminal where we joined people from the cruise ship. Our driver was called Louise and he was very knowledgeable telling us all about the island as we drove to the waterfalls. We felt very safe in his hands as we drove along the windy roads. Our bus was one of the first to arrive at the waterfalls which meant we didn’t have to queue. On the way back we stopped off at the film location of Pirates of the Caribbean and also we had around an hour and a half at sandals Beach. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had a great time aboard a small coach, run by Frazer Taxis & Tours, with the fabulous Dion as our guide for the day. Dion was full of knowledge about the island. She provided banana bread, fruit and soft drinks, beer and some homemade rum punch during the day. The falls are a 2 hour ish slow drive along the coast where the views are just incredible, travelling through a number of villages. The roads are narrow and it can get a bit scary if you dont like heights, but in the capable hands of our experienced driver it was a trip well worth taking. Standing under the falls was spectacular, The Pirates Of the Caribbean cove was beautiful and the beach stop was perfect. A long day but worth it. Recommended.

Shawn was an amazing tour guide. Knowledgeable, personable and made the trip super enjoyable. The falls and rainforest park were pretty as were the stops along the way. The hike to view the falls is a hike for sure and worth the trip up for the views and experience.

We loved Fraser guides! The company was wonderful. Our guides brought a banana for each person and waters + rum punch. The drive to the waterfall is 1 hour and 45 mins, drive back is longer with stops. The whole day was 8:30-3ish. We were starving by the end of it! Pack a lunch.

I feel like we saw the entire island from the bus. The guide was entertaining and he gave us longer at the beach than expected. Overall it was well worth the money.

We did a private tour with the owner himself- Fraser! Amazing experience, very detail-oriented guide and so knowledgeable about St. Vincent and the Grenadines. We toured the island, saw the Dark View Waterfalls (spectacular!!) and were able to visit Wallilabou- home of the Pirates of the Caribbean film setting scene. It was quite a rainy day but Fraser made sure we enjoyed the tour to the fullest with some homemade rum punch, bananas and even freshly picked mangos from mango trees straight out of his backyard! Such an amazing experience, highly recommend friendly Fraser and his company! You don’t want to miss this when in St. Vincent.

We had the best day with Fraser. His passion for his country and the tour he gave was outstanding. We learnt so much on the trip and he was there the whole time, taking photos for us etc. The waterfall was beautiful and our kids enjoyed a dip in it. The trip is quite long along very windy roads so if you get travel sickness be prepared.

The dip in the waterfall was great fun. We were lucky as our trip only had 4 passengers and only us 2 wanted to go into the waterfall.
We had an hour at the site and no other trips arrived at the time so we had it to ourselves. Don't know if water shoes would have been provided but you do need them - we were already wearing ours. Lovely scenery on route - we were in a mini bus so view was a bit restricted but heh ho. Looking around the Pirates of the Caribbean film location was also fun. Beach wasn't nice at all. We were given the choice of a black or white sand beach - we chose white where the Sandals resort was situated but its grubby and uninviting so if given the choice it may be better to choose the black - the sand was black underneath the top layer of white anyway. We were not allowed on the beach belonging to Sandals which may have been better but I don't see how. Guide was very accommodating and pleasant. Plenty of complimentary cold drinks included and offered. All in all a great experience.

The tour operator was a DISASTER. He electronically CANCELED the tour 5 minutes by after the pick-up time WITHOUT giving any reason only to say that a refund was being processed. He never showed up at the appointment time. Also, VIATOR was not helpful either; all they did was “we apologize”. The tour operator is irresponsible, unethical, dishonest and terribly arrogant.

Frasier was an amazing tour guide from start to finish. Everything on the island was closed due to the hurricane, but he made sure we didn't miss out. He got us in to see the Dark View Falls and the Pirates of the Caribbean. He was so knowledgeable about the island and it's history. I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting the island and definitely ask for Frasier! He is outstanding! You won't be disappointed.

We were presently surprised to have Mr. Fraser (the Owner) conduct our tour. Normally he has larger groups but today we were lucky and had a private tour. It was amazing. We learned so much about St. Vincent and the culture. Mr. Fraser took the time to stop at great places to take pictures and point out important places along our trip. The Dark Falls was empty when we reached the destination. May is the slow season so we chose a great time to visit and we chose the perfect tour guide, Mr. Fraser. We had a very good time and highly recommend.

Shaun was a fantastic guide. Really informative and super friendly. It felt like a very personal experience and he made sure we were at the waterfall nice and early to avoid the crowds. There were drinks and fruit available as well as towels and beach shoes if required.

Our tour started off great with Fraser giving us the overview of the island and some great historical facts on our way to the dark waterfalls, we were one of two groups. It appeared there was an issue with the other group not satisfied with the transport meaning we got moved and delayed the rest of our tour. Which subsequently meant our transport was not great, several people feeling unwell due to the windy roads of st Vincent and the enclosed vehicle, and also silence from the waterfall to our next two stops. No communication from our new driver, no snacks, no drinks when we asked just told they were in another vehicle which left. Not ideal on a 7 hour trip which offered one bottle of water in 28 degree heat and time at the beach. Great start but thoroughly disappointing ending which was a shame

The entire trip and country was breathtaking but the most memorable thing was the courtesy and care of the drivers and tour operators. The awesome natural beauty of St. Vincent shone on this tour as well as the beautiful heart of these people!

Fraser was absolutely amazing. Super knowledgeable about the island - we learned a lot during the drive. The driver was also excellent! The roads are crazy there so it was great to feel in good hands. We loved our experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to St. Vincent!!!

Fraser had it all detailed. An educated local, he had the personal experience and history to make the day interesting and informative. Some tour operators cover some aspects of the day, but Fraser is hands-on and has it all under control. My wife fell ill near the end of the day, and at my request, he even arranged for transportation back to our cruise ship.

This trip was worth every penny much better than booking it through the cruise company.
The waterfall was really good we were able to easily access it and get right underneath the water bit cold but well worth it for the photos and memories

Ok, not more.
Be aware that it takes almost 2 hours in the car to reach the waterfall. And time spent there was quite short. Did not have time (and was not informed about) the second water that could be resched by crossing the first and climb some stairs.
We where asked to pay at the waterfall even though it stated as included in the confirmation (when I pointed this out we did not have to pay).
The beach was nice with clear waters. 1h was spent there. Snorkeling gear was not available even though it also was stated as included in the confirmation.
The female guide (forgot her name) was arrogant and not very knowledgeable about the tour itself. I think she normally worked for another company. The driver Mr Louis was more knowledgeable I think. The guide and the driver was not very synchronized about where to stop and for how long etc.
I would not do this tour again.

Mr Fraser is a legend on the island. Everyone waves and smiles as you pass in his comfortable minibus. He has an answer for every question with a knowledge of local lore, politics, geology, flora, and fauna. He shares drinks, fruit, and even water shoes and goggles for getting a good view of fish! He doubled the volume of our vacation photos in one day, suggesting the perfect spots and taking some great portraits. We spent a whole day exploring waterfalls and fishing villages and got a sense that we were with the best on the island. It was a highlight of our trip and we can't this tour reccomend enough.
