Liverpool to Bowness-on-Windermere

Getting to and around the Lake District from Liverpool alone means relying on hire cars, or trains and buses. Skip the effort with a day trip that makes everything smooth and easy, and showcases both the region’s highlights and under-the-radar spots. In Bowness-on-Windermere you have the option of taking a cruise across England's longest lake (own expense), then explore the town of Ambleside, before heading to Blea Tarn and Grasmere, where you can sample tasty gingerbread.
