We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our tour guide Aaron on the Big Island. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable. He shared so much interesting information about the island, its history, culture, and beautiful scenery, making the entire tour both enjoyable and memorable. He was also very attentive to everyone in our group providing snacks and cold water. We were able to see all of our desired sights and he even took our photos at various locations. We would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Hawaii. He truly helped make our visit unforgettable! 🌺🌴☀️

Justin was an amazing tour guide full of energy and life and humor! Great communication beforehand. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We had the best time seeing all the sights, he even threw in a bonus visit he was able to squeezed in! Full day of beautiful sites, sounds and laughs! Our guide Ellen was great. She filled the day with interesting information about Hawaii and volcanoes. The state park was really cool. The lava tubes and seeing the volcano was really fascinating. Definitely recommended to see multiple Hilo sights in one adventure.

Justin was an awesome guide, very entertaining with all kinds of stories but also full of information about all aspects of the area. I liked seeing so many places since we were only in Hilo for a day. There was just the right amount of time in each location. I learned from him that my birthstone Peridot is the mineral that gives green sand beaches their color. I enjoyed learning that since I’ve always thought it was a kind of an uninteresting birthstone. I highly recommend Justin’s tour.

Amazing Scenery and Exceptional Service from Ray! Our tour with Hawaii Island Insider Tours was an incredible experience, and a huge part of that was our guide, Ray. He was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. The tour took us to some absolutely spectacular places, including Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls, and the volcanoes. The scenery throughout the day was breathtaking — lush tropical landscapes, dramatic waterfalls, and the incredible volcanic terrain that makes the Big Island so unique. Every stop seemed to offer another picture-perfect view. Unfortunately, I needed to leave the group earlier than planned. Ray couldn’t have been more accommodating. He personally made sure I got back to the port safely while my wife stayed with the group and continued the tour. I truly appreciated his kindness and willingness to go the extra mile. My wife had an amazing time during the remainder of the tour and sent me some fantastic pictures of the volcanoes and the lava tube. Seeing those photos made it very clear that she got to experience some truly spectacular sights — and that I definitely missed out! Ray deserves special recognition for his outstanding customer service. He handled my unexpected change of plans without hesitation and made sure everything worked out perfectly. That kind of personal attention is what makes a tour memorable. I have been searching for the perfect superlative to describe this tour, but everyone else seems to fall short in expressing just how wonderful it was. If you are fortunate enough to have Jill as your guide, you are in for an enlightening experience. She greets you with her effervescent personality, and as the tour progresses, you are introduced to the Hawaiian language, history, and sagas. Time flies by, and at the end, you wish you could have started again.

This company is customer service oriented and did everything possible to accommodate circumstances beyond their control. The immigration control at the Hilo Port is not a smooth process. We had to wait over 2 hours to start our excursion, since several in our group were stuck on the ship waiting for their turn to get off the ship. Amanda did everything possible to try and coordinate a condensed excursion, with the time remaining. On top of this, the day had off and on rain, which made our trip to the Volcanos National Park less than desirable. I felt I received value for the trip we had. NCL should consider extending the amount of time in this port, to allow for the extremely long process to get everyone off of the ship. But this is no reflection on this company.

It was a great experience! Unfortunately we had rain and clouds but it did not take away from the beauty of the sites! The crater was amazing to see! The lava tube was great! The waterfall was so pretty too! They were so easy to communicate with because we were coming in by cruise ship and had to go through immigration upon arrival. They waited for us and we joined the group a few minutes late. Cousin Ernie was great! He shared his knowledge of the island with us and added to the experience. Thank you for a great day!
