Amazing !
Amazing experience ! Beautiful island.
Great tour guides. Clean charter bus with A.C. . Tour guide was providing historical facts about the island . Also spoke many different languages so everyone on the trip could understood him which I thought was nice. Wish the stay on the island was a little longer than 2 hours. Suggest to bring your own water/drinks and snacks for the island itself as you cannot purchase anything there.

Paradise Island and Bomb Ass Chicken
This one was super relaxing, depending on where you are staying it could be up to a 2hr ride but when you arrive to the beach you are then taken on a boat to a sand bar (Paradise Island) in the middle of the ocean, takes 2 min to walk around the whole "island", they give you tasty fruits and snorkeling gear, really cool fish and some big ones too. You can also just relax on the beach. After you are taken through a mangrove where it's a maze to get to a pretty central point but the way out was the fun part, top speed motorboat whipping through the maze that is the mangrove till you make it put into the open ocean. Then they take you to a Dominican restaurant where I had the best fried chicken probably ever. They stop a cigar spot that makes the cigars and they talk you through the process. If you get the guide named Mendy you are in for an educational and fun experience my guy speaks 4 languages fluently.

Great Snorkeling
We did 4 excursions on this vacation and this was the best one. The snorkeling at the island is great. The food and drinks were great. We did some of the mangroves slowly learning about them and the wildlife, then we did a neat speed boat trim through some of them. The transport is a bit long from Peurto Plata, but well worth it.

Cayo Arena
From start to the finish we had a great experience. The bus trip was exceptional, the guide as well. The 12 km speed boat ride was impressive.

A BLAST in the Paradise Sun 🌞
The drive to get to Paradise island was about 2 and half hours long but Matias and Emanuel kept us entertained all the way.

It was really fun and the food was amazing!
Just a heads up, you can’t wear shoes on the island. There were a few sea urchins hiding in the corals further out so just watch your step.

Although the drive to Cayo Arena was a bit long, it was worth it. Our tour guide was very informative. The sand bar was lovely, snorkeling was cool. The mangrove tour was a hit with the family. We talked about the experience for days after the trip. A must do!

When to visit

The natural landmark El Morro, a 777-foot (237-meter) limestone mesa, is located in Monte Cristi National Park, which is also home to mangroves, subtropical dry forests, and swamps.
Keep an eye out for The Seven Brothers Cays (Los Cayos Siete Hermanos)—several small islands that serve as the nesting grounds for a number of reptile species.
There is very little shade on the island and typically none on the boat, so hats and sunblock are highly recommended.
Tours typically include equipment for snorkeling, lunch, and unlimited drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic).
