would be a great option for elderly people or folks with mobility issues, but halifax is extremely walkable so we spent more time waiting on the bus than we would have walking to the landmarks. not worth the $ like it is in other cities. having said that the guides were entertaining and had good stories!

Rhonda was a great tour guide. We really enjoyed how much she knew about the tour. We rode the whole route to see it all and then were going to ride again and get off where we wanted the second time. The second time we rode with another lady who talked about buying gummies the whole time. We thought it was very unprofessional and didn't like that, but to each his own. Rhonda made each story have a meaning and even brought some of her own personal experiences into it with her family and such. She was very personable. We enjoyed her tour.

The place to get the voucher for the ride was a long walk from the ship. If I knew, I would have bought the Hop on Hop off bus tickets at the port.

Excellent tour on an enclosed double-decker bus, so the occasional rain did not bother us—excellent narrative throughout the tour. You will have a 10- to 15-minute walk from your cruise ship to the pick-up point.

We bought this tour as a means of getting around downtown Halifax and catching all the sights. We have done other hop on/hop off buses in other cities and downtown Halifax does not disappoint. Engaging commentary with a bit of humour thrown in and you have a wonderful experience. Stay on the bus through all 11 stops then start hopping. Easy to use. Don’t hesitate to book!

We walked one mile to get a sticker when we had the voucher, but needed the sticker first! This could have been emailed so we could be picked up in front of the ship. The bus is very old and the fumes caused a nauseous stomach. Traffic in Halifax is busy, construction is everywhere. I thought we might go outside of the very busy downtown, but did not.

Great Tour of Halifax

Stop 1 is right outside the cruise port in Halifax. Very convenient. Viator tix had to be validated at stop 3 which was no problem at all. The tour is on antique double decker buses, and our bus had a tour guide who was very knowledgeable on the history of Halifax, so we didn’t need the downloaded audio guide.. We were lucky to have him. Very enjoyable day.

The ride was great along with driver and tour guild but Rick outside the pier of Celebrity Cruise refused to validate my reservation and told me to walk to the Marine Museum if I wanted to board the bus which was a 20 minute walk along the waterfront. No explanation just "No cant board here." Yet, we disembark at the same location. I am a Disabled US Army Veteran (Medic) with spine injury and asthma yet I walked the 20 minute walk with 2 puffs of medicine and a cane. A sad experience because It was my brides birthday and our 40th wedding anniversary. I still gave the Hop on Hop Off a 5 Star and don't believe that a bad review should be due to one single individual that may have had a bad day.
