Mr G’olib was an excellent guide. He was very informative and helpful. He showed us round some interesting places including the metro stations and also helped us get a good price for a football shirt in the Chorsu market. I don’t think it should be marketed as a walking and food tour when there is no food included in the tour. Just call it a walking tour. We did go for a lovely traditional meal after the walk as Mr G’olib took us there, and it was very reasonable.

when can i return? this was such a lovely day trip from tashkent. it was seamless for me - driver picks you up at your hotel/airbnb, drives you to the border, you cross and meet your english speaking guide after you cross the border, and go on a lovely tour to khujand, tajikistan. then return the same way! my lovely english speaking guide was nasima. she was a local from khujan- grandparents all from khujand and had live there most of her life, except for some time living abroad in russia/china as an adult. was so interesting to hear the story and history of tajikistan, from ancient times (alexandre the great), to modern times (independence from the soviet union, afghan war and refugees), from a local! we went to a cultural centre modelled after a palace in st petersburg, then a dazzling tea house where locals commonly get married. we then had a big lunch (included in tour!!) at a popular restaurant - borsch, tomato salad, sashlika (kebab), and fried fish (yum), with black tea to wash it down. continued to city centre khujand to the afghan and thursday market, had ice cream, and then went to the khujand fortress, inside is a museum, and then went to the nearby old city of khujand where local artisans and craftsmen work. oh it was such a good trip!!! my lovely drivers on uzbek side was dima and tajik side was saiyood. it was such a good first experience to tajikistan and i am already planning when i can go back and explore more. thank you team!

I had a wonderful experience doing this tour. Amir was in contact all the time, easy to reach and quick responses. All was coordinated, from the drivers picking you up / dropping off from/to hotels, trains, hotels and guides. It made our movement around Bukhara and Samarqand very easy. Totally recommended.

I recently took this Tashkent City Tour, and I cannot recommend it highly enough, primarily thanks to our incredible guide, Ziyod. From start to finish, he was absolutely amazing. His depth of knowledge about the city, its history, and the culture really brought all of the sights to life and gave me a great feel for the area. The absolute highlight of the day for me was our stop at Chorsu Bazaar. Ziyod didn't just walk us through the market; we actually sat down together for a local lunch right in the middle of it all. We got to try an incredible array of authentic, local Uzbek foods. Having him there to guide me through the dishes and explain what everything was made the experience feel so authentic and special. If you are visiting Tashkent and want a well-rounded, insightful, and culturally immersive day, definitely book this tour. Ziyod was fantastic!

This was a private your. Our guide Ziad made it a most memorable tour for us. Everything was possible for him. His English was proficient his car was clean and itinerary was great. He was able to get tickets for Islamic centre which is a museum cum a beautiful must see place coveting all aspect of Uzbekistan including history and Islam

Our guide Aziza and her driver were TOP-NOTCH. Aziza has a deep knowledge of the places, names, dates, and superb history, which makes the tour much richer and more interesting. Understanding the culture and explaining the details of the spectacular buildings was truly enriching. I was surprised by the richness of the history of this important Silk Road site; it far exceeded my expectations. Aziza was always attentive to our well-being, and the very characteristic hospitality of these people was always present.

Mokhigul was an incredibly informative guide! The day was pretty nonstop- but she was also happy to let me stop & take pictures or shop if I wanted to as well. Yes, you are on your own for the train- but it is very straightforward & explained well by guides

I highly recommend this tour. We asked for ours to be focused on architecture, and that helps frame up a synthesis of the Islamic and Soviet/ Russian influences in culture, architecture, and politics, that have shaped the city. Tour guide Aziza was knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly.
