Top Quito Day Trips

Our tour guide Ximena was amazing. We went in the Mindo Cloud tour and got to feed hummingbirds and butterflies. Hiked to the waterfall. We stopped for lunch at the greatest place to bird watch. Ximena was knowledgeable, funny and knew some great stops. Great experience!

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Pamela today, Pamela was professional with a good attitude and making jokes to keep everyone entertained. We got lucky with weather at the time of year, we managed to get some nice photos and make memories. The driver of the tour bus Jonathan was excellent and picked us up, took us to our tour destination and then safely dropped us back off at our hotel. Would recommend to anyone looking to discover about Cotapaxi and it's surrounding national park. Although the tour does not include food / drinks, we was able to take breaks to acquire snacks before the trip and before return back to our hotel we was taken to a nice place to have some home cooked food.

Our guide Wilson was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about Ecuador and the spots we visited. He went the extra mile to show us additional sites. Very comfortable car and good driver The museum was educational and our guide there was fun and informative

This excursion was a good chance to see Quilatoa and get an opportunity to experience indigenous art and culture. Our guide Irene and driver Marcello picked us up from our hotel promptly. It's a long drive, but we stopped on the way for breakfast. Next, we visited an indigenous farm and learned about their lifestyle. We also got to meet and take pictures with their alpacas. Next, we made a brief stop at a canyon for photos. Then, we arrived at the crater. We were there early enough to see it in its full neon shade. We had several hours to hike, explore, and shop before lunch and heading back. Our last stop was at the shop of an indigenous artist in Tigua who is known for creating masks. Finally, our day wrapped up with a long drive back to Quito. We had a fun time. You'll need cash for all expenses (lunch, souvenirs, etc) after the first mini Mart, but there's an ATM there.

The tour was absolutely fantastic! Michael, our guide, was simply amazing—knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire experience. He made the tour truly memorable. I can’t recommend this tour and Michael highly enough. If you’re considering booking, definitely go for it!

This was such an amazing experience from start to finish! The horseback riding and Cotopaxi hike were definitely some of the highlights of my trip to Ecuador. Alva was wonderful! Very friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and made the experience feel comfortable and enjoyable. She was genuinely involved throughout the tour and made sure I was doing okay, especially during the hike. You could really tell that she cared about making sure I had a great experience, not just checking off the activities on the itinerary. I also really appreciated how involved and attentive Jorge was. Communication was great, everything was well organized, and they were there to make sure everything went smoothly. That level of personal attention really made a difference and made me feel well taken care of throughout the day. The horseback riding was so much fun, and seeing Cotopaxi up close was absolutely breathtaking. It was one of those experiences that I know I’ll remember for a long time. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you want more than just a typical sightseeing experience. The people genuinely care about their guests, and that really shows. My husband and I flew into Quito for a one day layover on our way home after a Galapagos tour and decided to make the most out of the day with a day tour. I booked it a mere 13 hours prior and we were paired with Galindo as our guide. He was a very experienced tour guide, knowledgeable, and also took great pictures of us along the way. Galindo’s English was excellent, but it was still nice to be able to practice my very rusty Spanish with him without feeling embarrassed since I never really had a chance to speak much in Galapagos. Galindo catered our tour to our preferences and took us to a really cute restaurant for lunch that had good food and our table had a nice view of Independence Square. We really felt like we got a good taste of Quito by the end of the day. We were tired but it was worth it!

Very good tour and well worth the price. We started with the 1:00 pm bus, and probably would have preferred an earlier start. We only got off at the Mercado, the Basilica, and Panecillo. We spent much more time at the Basilica than we had expected. It was awesome! Make sure you go around to the front and take the tour up the towers. Spectacular views! On the ride up to Panecillo sit on the left side of the bus and you'll get great views.
